If I didn't have Mustang, it would be a RED 1987 GTA Trans Am w/ 350, no doubt. You can get a REAL nice one for 5k, or a fixer for under3k. It s lead sled, but with a few mods, when you put your foot in it, your gut will twist. Plus, the CHICKS that really dig'em, really dig'em, you know.

If you're looking at Fords, your best bet is Mustang or T-Bird. However, for 5k, you could get an older Corvette, IROC Camaro, Trans-Am, or any of the GM G-Bodies like the Monte SS, Cutlass, and Regal. Although not a V-8, you could get a Grand Nat'l (which will cost more than 5k). If you want to get a Cadillac, the 2-dr. Eldorado is probably the best choice.

Well, I would probably prefer a bit of a fixer or even a slight restoration. This is because I am 14 now, and I wanna get my car this summer when I turn 15, so that I will have a year for fixing it up and modifying it and stuff before I drive it.
Anything under 5k may work, but I'm looking more for something around 3k.
You can definantly find a older 5.0 Stang and fix it up, by the time you turn 16 and drive it you can save enough up (If you have a job) and get it running nice and make it quicker and look nice.

My friend and I are running a small computer business and we're going to be doing a bit of construction work for his dad this summer. I figure I can make around 3 grand from those two things this summer. I will also try and do anything else I can to earn money and not spend it. I get 24 a week if I do all my chores so I should start saving that
definately an older Fox Mustang is for you. The aftermarket support for the 86-93's is incredible. Or how about a Capri? Or a Lincoln mk VII LSC, they have all the same guts as a fox mustang.
Good luck.

It's all about looking hard in obscure places. I found a near perfect '69 Cyclone CJ for $900 in the '80's. We are talking a 428 Cobra Jet powered Merc that chould lay down 13.86@101.69 in factory trim (MT 8/69). Imagine that, a 13 second car for $900.

Although I do have somewhat of a soft spot for Cop Car lookin vehs (I like messing with peoples heads from time to time) I wasn't refering to the Caprice. I was talking about the Mercury Capri. They made them from 79 to I dunno 90 I think. They look almost like a mustang, except they have flared fenders, and a different nose and hatch.
Check out the foureyedpride web site. There's a bunch of pics there.
