are headlight and or taillight covers (smoked) legal when street driving (during the day of course)?

I'm going to say yes , but in your area it may be different . But as long as it does not obstruct the turn signals or tail/brake lights , then I think you should be fine .

Exactly. That's what makes a question like this so hard to answer. Here in Pa. ANY thing that covers your lights is illegal. Now, whether any police dept. decides to enforce it...

I once had smoked covers on my 96 Dakota (318cu) and got into an accident before dark and the other driver was cited for failure to give right away, he sued me and one because of them!!!!! Judge said ignorance is not an excuse. Hard lesson learned.

Why would you want to make it harder to see your brake lights? You’re just asking for an accident...

I had front ones, even if they ARE illegal, you basically have to just take them off if pulled over, and once night they won't really even notice front ones.

The only car i would put them on (yea shoot me) is the camaro. My friend has a black camaro and they look really nice. Although it really isn't hard to see anyways, just don't cover the 3rd brake light

Oh, believe me i know. I was just saying, if he wanted to do covers. At least leave the 3rd brake light uncovered. Because sometimes when braking the covers make it just look like regular lights.
