The California highway patrol is going up and down my street siting everyone on my street for not having a front plate. I am so pissed. He's got nothing better to do. I am so pissed you have no idea!!! It's a friggin $76 ticket. Both my mom and I got tickets. I talked a whole bunch of crap to him. So I can't leave till he does otherwise I know the dick will get me for modified exhaust.
So you knew you were required to have a front plate, and chose to ignore the law and he is the dick?

He's a dick for coming to my house writing my car and my moms car up. About ten other people don't have front plates on our street but he just wrote us up. That's messed up. My street isn't very big either about one third of the cars on my street don't have front plates. Yes he is a dick. **** him.
Cars on both sides of our cars didn't have front plates. Yet he just wrote us up... There is something going on here.

Listen I was inside my house listening to music cleaning my room when the cop rolls up and writes us tickets. I did nothing. He had already written mine when I got out there and he was just finishing up my moms. I gave him a whole bunch of crap after I picked up the ticket off my windshield. That is a chicken **** ticket.
No one is above the law. If the law states front tags are required and you are aware of this and knowingly disobeyed the law then you deserve the ticket. It doesn't matter if the guy next door got one or not. Your car was in violation therefore this is the only vehicle YOU need to worry about. As far as I'm concerned and the courts are concerned YOU are in violation and therefore deserve the ticket.
Remember being told when you were younger. TWO WRONGS DON'T MAKE A RIGHT? So just be MATURE about it and PAY YOUR TICKET. Crying over it will not make things better and telling a cop off will not make it go away. Chalk it up to experience.

My point is that it's a chicken **** ticket. Hell if I got it while I was driving I wouldn't care so much. But since I got it with my car chillin in front of my house, I'm pissed. I wasn't even there for him to hand the ticket to me. ****** meter maid. I'll find a way out of it... I have friends.
I dont have a front plate, and where i live it is required. Until I get a fix it ticket or am told to put it on,I wont. If i am told to put it on, or given a ticket i'll just put it back into place. I think that the officer could have been doing something more constructive with his time but its his choice to write you up. Check if its not just a fix it ticket because those are easy to 'fix'.

There is much more here then meats the eye. I cant believe a cop would drive around and just pick one house to screw with right out of the blue and then just totally ignore the rest of the neighborhood who were committing the same violation.
And …..my car has an illegal exhaust (no smog) its that way because in my state they only check if you have cats (they don’t check to see if they are actually working). When they start checking I guess I’m screwed. I’ll have to get it illegal, but I wont cuss out the mechanic who inspects my car. If I run an illegal exhaust I take the risk it will come back on me some day. It might never come back on me but I guess I/m just playing the odds.

countymounty, listen... That's what he did. I swear to god. I swear by my life. He came down are street, wrote us up and left. My neighbor watched em do it... She doesn't have front plates on two of her cars. She couldn't believe it either. She was waiting for her tickets. The only reason I knew about it was because my mom came in my room and got me. She told me what was happening.
