Some of you may have read almost a year ago that my car was broken into, but for you that didn't see that here it is:
Well, back in June of 2003 my car was broken into over the night when my car was parked outside (Not in our drivway, but on the side of the house, mistake number 1 back then) They stole my 4 Chrome Cobra R wheels (17") and tires, Headunit, $100 cash, Two JL 10 inch subs and box, Rockford Fosgate 800 Watt amp, my friend's Alpine amp.
That sucked ass as it was.
Well tonight i got off work at 8pm, i come outside and as i get up to my car i see a hole under my keyhole. It looks all f-ed up. So i say to myself, Oh great. So i get into my car to find my $500 dollar Alpine 9815 headunit stolen. I then see my ignition is all sorts of f-ed up. They tried to steal my car. Then i noticed my Sub that i JUST GOT TWO DAYS AGO, and my amp was stolen. The amp is a nice 500 dollar amp running at 900 watts (Discount through work, really a 900 dollar Audiobahn amp) and a $400 dollar competition sub by Infiniti (1 10" sub) in an enclosed box of course. So i couldn't drive my car since i had NO ignition in there it was broken out. So i had my manager try to hotwire it since he does security alarms and stuff since both of us install car audio, remote starts, car alarms (And yes i know u all would say why didn't i get one, I BOUGHT ONE but didn't install it yet, hadn't had time to, was waiting til this semester was over with) then he can't even with my key to bypass the ignition shutdown. So my dad and i go to his friend's house where he stores his trailor for when he had his old 1990 10 second Vette and we got it and pulled the car up on it and brought it home. All in all today sucked ass.
Going to bed, goodnight everyone.
Probably gonna fix my car and sell it, i'm sick of this sh-t, sick of working HARD for nice things and this crap happen. Ima go buy a Geo Metro and pay what i pay for the car for a alarm.

damn :-( that sucks HARD. I feel your pain, dude. I'm all twitchy parking my Stang on the streets... only 23 days before I leave this city for an apartment with an actual garage (plenty of parking in Silicon Valley).
But yeah... BASTARDS.

Damn dude. The only thing I can think of is maybe you're letting the wrong people know what you've got in your car. I'm not sayin it's your fault at all. You should be able to have nice things and enjoy them if you work your ass off to pay for them. But ya just gotta be careful about who you let know about your stuff. I learned the hard way when I was in high school. I had the only car stolen from my high school in over 20 years because I let the wrong people know what was in there. They decided they needed it more than I did so they relieved me of it.
Anyway, I'm sorry to hear about that happeneing again. But don't let the greed of others tear ya down. You got a phat ride. Just get it fixed and enjoy it.

Well i JUST installed the amp and sub 2 days ago myself. Only person that knew was my Manager, and i guarantee he had nothing to do with it considering we get bombing dirt cheap sales on nice stuff. And my girlfriend, which she could care less about that stuff and wouldn't run her mouth about it.

Dayum man , that sucks . Will your insurance cover any of it ? That really sucks man , sorry to hear it . Get it fixed and get that alarm on there .
Can't go through insurance, with 1 point and a accident within this year, i can't they will drop me in a heartbeat. I didn't put the last one through insurance either (Last one was 4,000 dollars worth of stuff)
This time property alone was 600 not including damages to the car, just stuff taken. But the damage is at LEAST a grand

That stinks....... Low life scumbags ! Hope you don't give up all hope for having a nice ride, I bought a " beater " and drive it to work, for just this type of reason. Good luck.

I already have given up. I had plans to lower it, throw a Cobra R hood on it, and a Saleen kit. I was going to order the hood and springs next paycheck. I have my car alarm too that i am returning too, since i never had time to install it myself. I am taking my Chrome Cobra Rs off and maybe just keep them in the basement incase i get a Cobra way down the road. Maybe sell them i am not sure yet.

That blows hard! Keep the car. What I would do is find a different place to park it inside. They know where you're at!...and that you have a treasure. If you have a garage, put it in. They're not too smart or the car would be gone. Call the cops and have them cruise the neighborhood. You know you'd like to wire the car for 120 volts so whoever got a good arse-jolting, but you'd get a lawsuit the way things work today. Bottom line, move the car, in or elsewhere. Very best of luck.

First off i cannot park it in my garage at home. Reason being is my father's Vette is in there, my mother's vette, and my brother's Trans Am.
As far as parking it somewhere safe at work, i can't there is no where safe at work to park. I did however call the cops the night it happened. Just nothing they can do. And they could have probably taken the car, but i came out as they were doing it (I didnt see it and they drove away calmy before i got to the car to notice anything)
