what about his record? the part where he voted for sending our young men into combat, and then voted against funding that would be used for buying those same young men body armor? maybe the part where he is, bar none, the most liberal voter in the senate? i know about his record, and i don't like any of it

Did you take civics class in Grade and Junior High school? Gevernement in High school?
THere were two competing bills. One would repeal the taxcuts on the wealthiest 1% to pay for MORE supplies for the veterans and required an accounting of funds. Kerry voted for this bill.
Version #2 stripped the repeal of the tax cuts and removed accounting of the funds - how the funds would be spent. Jerry voted against this version of the bill.
The biggest douche of the Universe is Bush, who sent the troops without the required provisions while deficit spending his way to a budgetary Armageddon.

Hey everyone! I have my own opinions about this subject, but first and formost, we are all here to enjoy our Mustang hobby and experiences.
Politics have a tendency to divide people and we (AFM) would rather not see that happen. All of you are great members here on AFM.
We want to leave room on the forums for everyone to talk about a wide range of subjects and this thread has not gotten out of hand yet, so it is still open, but just keep in mind that nothing good is likely to come out of keeping this discussion going.
We want you and everyone to enjoy coming here. So, just be warned that if it turns sour (and it's sitting on the edge right now) we will remove it.

I won't argue the points about which is a wolf in sheep's clothing because it's the truth. However I don't think the corruption is complete and runs all the way up and down both parties. There are some genuinely good people in elected office. Unfortunately those are junior senators and representatives and it's only a matter of time before they become corrupted. I've long been a fan of the idea that we should limit the number of terms a person is allowed to serve in elected office because if you spend 30 years there then you lose touch with the hard working men and women in the country and what they need.
