Default Should we allow political Threads?

ttp://www.vietnamveteransagainstjo...mccain_myth.htm

Citizens for Life, a New Hampshire group, complained in ads that McCain once referred to the Leisure World senior citizens home as ''Seizure World.''

McCain, reveling in adoration at a June 1998 Republican fund-raiser and sure his joke would go no further, said: "Do you know why Chelsea Clinton is so ugly? Because Janet Reno is her father."

"The nice thing about Alzheimer's is you get to hide your own Easter eggs," John McCain said to reporters while sitting in his campaign bus.

McCain Takes Aim At Religious Right
Republican Says Bush Panders To the 'Agents of Intolerance'
By Brian Knowlton International Herald Tribune
29/02/2000
WASHINGTON - Senator John McCain, in a provocative and politically risky speech, sharply criticized leaders of the religious right on Monday as ''agents of intolerance'' allied to his rival, Governor George W. Bush, and denounced what he said were the tactics of ''division and slander.''
Specifically, Mr. McCain singled out the evangelists Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell as ''corrupting influences on religion and politics'' and said parts of the religious right were divisive and even un-American.

You don’t seem to understand that not everyone agrees with everyone. Nor that no matter how “good” someone is, they sometimes say and do things they probably shouldn’t have. This is the case here with McCain.

Anyone who follows someone blindly and does not admit their “guy” is not perfect is a fool. And anyone who does not realize this is even more of a fool.

I don’t think there is a single politician (or HUMAN) who has not said something stupid now and again. And pointing that out is not always a “bad” thing.

Of course there are folks like you who really don’t seem to care about any issue except the issue of pointing out all sorts of little things in the hopes of causing problems here on the forums.

You don’t seem to understand that nothing you post will change the minds of the members here. And I have never seen a true “undecided”. No matter what folks say, if they are ‘Undecided” they are actually decided but waiting to see something they can justify the decision they have actually already made deep down inside. So along comes folks like you (and your counterparts in the other camp) tossing out as much garbage as you can.

How about this? Want to truly convince someone about political stuff? Try focusing on how good your side or candidate is and leave the poo flinging to monkeys. Because guess what? You can’t toss crap without getting it on your hands. So no one walks away clean.

Well said Shartley. Kscoyote is known to some over at the corral as kassclown. He brings this on himself by doing the same cut and past nonsense over at the corral. Only there, he has more than just a few of us to deal with. Hell, even the liberal side of the house don't care for his cut and paste info much. It's fun to watch though. Kind of like reading the funny's in the paper.

Sooo, you're saying this preemptive attack on McCain is OK, too?

I'm not tossing the garbage, this is O'Niell's group. Vietnam Vets against Kerry, and Swift Boat Veterans.

I'm not diminishing McCain's service.

I have repeatedly posted that I think he's great, and I may have voted for him.

No, that is not what I was saying. But thank you for again proving that you see just what you want to see, no matter what is said or posted.

And yes you ARE tossing the garbage. Don’t make a thread title like you did and then try to act all innocent as if all you were doing is a public service announcement with no intent to upset people. We all know how to read, we all know how to surf the Internet, and we all know how to turn on our TVs and Radios for the news.
