If you think you'll like Vegas, you WILL. This is one of the greatest american cities I've EVER lived in, and it's as great for residence as it is for visitors. People think Vegas is one sided, but really, you can do anything here, the good and the bad, it's truely freedom. You have choices, to really do, what you think is RIGHT FOR YOU.
Becareful of letting yourself get caught up in vices, remeber you live here, there is no getting on a plane and breaking the cycle, if you start spinning, you'll crash and burn. Your true colors really come out here, are you strong or weak, are you a hustler or a slacker, are you a??? I have seen a lot friends move here and move UP, buy homes, cars, start saving for retiremnt, investing, really making the most of this oppritunity, but I have also seen friends who just can't handle it, can't handle the freedoms to CHOOSE and are drinking & doing drugs daily, spending every penny trying to look "the part", just getting totally lost in the hype, spinning out, and lossing it all. It's rough sometimes when you really have a choice, like I said, your true colors will show. PLEASE remeber, you're not on vaction, those other 33 million people might be on vaction, but you are not on vaction, this is reallity, so set limits -- have fun, no doubt, but don't loss control bro.
Remeber to, don't try to change Vegas, if you don't like it, if it's not working for you, pack up and leave, as transplants, we don't have a right to come here for the delicious cake, then start changing the recipe, you know what I mean? A cake without flour and eggs, is bowl of water. I get so sick of people moving their families here, for the good jobs & affordible housing (well, it used to be affordible), then gettting pissed that there are adult themed billboards and 24hr parties...what do people think this town is built on? Why do people think this place is even here? I say, if you want to be in Salt Lake, stay in Salt Lake, nothing wrong with that, but let us have Vegas.
I assume by your post that you already have a home lined up? What will you be doing for work? You know the new Wynn Resort has begun taking applications (on-line is prefered). It's gonna be an amazing resort.
