Default My current wheels or Cobra wheels??

A firend of mine has a set of Cobra wheels( 2000) that are painted black. I have yet to see the wheels but he is asking $300 for them. I like the wheels I have on my car now( Prime MB's, 17x8's ) they are in my gallery. But they still need to be painted and and have the final polishing. They need some work but my dad wants to put them on my moms car after we put the Saleen GFX on and paint it.

I was told that the wheels on my car now are not a good choice if I was gonna take it to Road Atlanta, they flex alot and I was told that the wheel could possibly break if I get on it hard in a corner. I dont know much about the Cobra wheels. Would they be able to be used for road course driving? Also arent they 17x9's ?

I just cant decide what ones I want.

To be quite honest i know on my car they are bad for cornering, in the front the 9" clearance comes out about a inch from my wheel wells on both sides. The rear stay in fine. I would personally say they are not good at all for it, but i really don't know since i have never raced the V6. And yes some Cobra wheels are 17x9. you can get 17x10 and 10.5" too. Also you can find some 18" ones.

which 2000 cobra wheels? regular cobra wheels came in 17x9. aftermarket wheels you can find with different sizes. there were also 2000 cobra r wheels, those are 18x9. venemous, why are your wheels bad for cornering? maybe you have bad tires?or need some suspension mods.

last weekedn I looked at the wheels. they are 98 Cobra's painted a glossy balck. They are 17x8( what I already have) so my tires will still fit. But if I get they they will be painted a charcoal grey. They guy is asking 300 for them
