Parents get divorced it happens. Mine did. But my step mom was a stay at home mom until my brother and I got into high school and we both got jobs, now she works but I go home when ever I get a chance and she still finds time to feed me very well( i can fend for myself but nothing beats a home cooked meal. ) in between work and finishing the new house. The careers with big paychecks have made it so that kids grow up eithout parents. TV is the new babysitter/parent. I saw it all the time in my school " my parents are always at work or out with clients trying to close a business deal so i never see them but they bought me a new Lightning, Cobra, Motorcycle, whatever." My parents didnt buy me a car, I bought it myself, but the time I spent working on it with my dad and having my mom help me with the interior work was a lot more pleasing than recieving a new shiny car.

Emily states she is a doer, thats good, see me I am a go getter........my girlfriend works and i go get her! Im just kidding I dont have a girlfriend but if I did.

That's refreshing to hear Emily.
Don't let anyone tell you that a stay at home mother is wasting your life or is a submissive behavior endorsed by men. Because it's not.
It's called Family Values.........It's a hard fought concept to maintain in this 'so-called modern society'.

It is possible to have a career and a good home life. I work, and I still have time for my kids and my husband. If I didn't work, we couldn't make it.

My mom works and still has time for me and my brother. If she didnt work then they wouldnt be able to finidsh the new house. But My brother and I can fend for ourselves now, she did the stay at home mom thing up until my junior year in high school. I loved having my mom at home when I got home from school. She would make us do our homework before going outside to play ( when we were younger obviously) If she hadnt been at home I probably would have just turned on the TV and never done my homework. See because of her I turned out somewhat decent, the need for speed side of me and the cockyness she could never get me to drop

With ya there. Everyone seems to think that staying at home is "weak". It is not; it is a very important job, especially in today's society. I think at least one parent should stay home. I wouldn't necessarily argue that it has to be the woman, just whoever thinks they will do better at it. I know my dad always wanted to stay home and raise us.

I think i've found someone who i could REALLY happy with for sometime. We met in Math class, we have kissed but decided that it might be to fast to keep going on this road so slowed it down. But DAMMMMNNNN!!!!!! this girl drives me crazy. when we first kissed, i was so nervious and to tell you the truth, just thinking about her makes my heart beat faster. i have never in my entire life felt like this before for a person and i am happy we both want the same thing. i would say we have both definitly fallen for each other. i will keep you all posted on how we are doing in time.

Wow, a phone relationship, and you managed it while being young. Most people go through so many gfs/bfs even when they have them right there in front of them. I've got a friend that I'm kinda amazed she's still with her bf, she's been dating him since she was 15 and she's 19 now.

I am glad that my wife is able to stay at home with the kids.... I know someitmes it can be a bit much, but as they grow up hopefully things will get better.

I find there either exist a person with low self-esteem or a level of maturity uncommon to the teenager who maintains a long term relationship.

.....When you get to a 20 year relationship (or legitimate marriage), you will enter realms of ONENESS never before conceived of........It can elevate your consciousness well above those around you. This can also be observed by those around you. Usually endearingly, but sometimes through jealous eyes.

.......when a relationship like that for some reason or another fails , the emotional AND financial fallout can be devastating and ruin you..........When you fly high you have further to fall........

I call this unfortunate circumstance "The Wrecking Ball"..........

I have a club. ......I'm the President. ......It's called :

I want to join. What do I have to do? Drop a Wrecking Ball on a couple of civics? Will that be enough for initiation?
