This is the forecast .

The only hope I have is that we get to a level 3 snow emergency so I wont have to go to work tommorow

Tonight: Snow will be heavy at times along with gusty winds. Low 18F. Winds NNE at 20 to 30 mph. Chance of snow 80%. 6 to 10 inches of snow expected.

Tomorrow: Snow along with gusty winds at times. High 26F. Winds NNW at 25 to 35 mph. Chance of snow 80%. 3 to 5 inches of snow expected. Total storm accumulations 6-12 inches.

i got 16" at my house....im snowed in until the plow comes...which wont be til like 3 ........im home bound!

my forcast: Today: Cloudy, a few lingering flurries possible. Total accumulation of 12"-20"+(highest amoutns Dayton northwest). Blustery and very cold with blowing and drifting snow. Highs in the low to mid 20s, then temperatures falling later in the afternoon.

Came through here last night. Every business is closed, state of emergency, if you get caught out driving in it they will probably shoot you. National Guard out getting people who are stuck on I-64, which is closed along with 99% of every other road around here. 18- 20 inches on the ground here, drifting to as much as 5 ft.

Just heard an update on the news. National Guard Hummers getting stuck in drifts on I-64 trying to rescue several hundred stranded motorists between the IL line and mile marker 57. Thats 57 miles of bumper to bumper cars and big trucks stuck. I've been in one of these snow shut downs before in the big truck in TN. I sat there for 2 days in the hammer lane of I-24. Man I hope these big truck drivers get home in time for X-Mas.

Mother *&%$#@ I HAVE to be into work . My boss got me with the okey doke . Supposedly if you are a critical part of the companies operation it is ok for you to be out . I'm a maintenence guy so I'm screwed .

Looks like I better start digging the car out . This sucks .

i'll be home been digging my drive way all morining from the plows... over here we got around 8" my road is clean off, but all the other roads suck...
no level 3 over my work.... your boss is on something....

Well, I finally finished removing 6-8" from my double wide 150' drive. Whew! And all of that by hand (no blower for this guy).

Made a couple of trips to town today, and all I can say is - - wow, am I glad I have a winter beater!! You'd think that everone considers themselves super-hero drivers, and impervious to pain and discomfort. Don't come to Michigan until these morons have a few fender benders, and remember how to drive in this crap. It's like bumper car city out there...
