Currently there are several companies that are making Mach I specific supercharger/turbo kits. All allow the shaker to stay on top and some advertise that the will not hurt the “function ability” of the shaker. Ford says the “ram air” does not have a positive effect until 80 mph, but without getting into the discussion of how effective ram air is at least it will be a kick ass “cold air” kit for the car. I personally want to wait until my car is out of warranty and paid for before I supercharge it, and by then we shall see how durable the 10:1 compression 4.6 is. Most kits I have seen are for just 6 lbs but I have heard many people are running high quantities of boost on stock engines. Out of the two fastest Mach (both autos running in the 10’s) one has blown the engine. I would still think 6lbs is safe…………….maybe………..
When I find the links to the mach kit I will post them.
