Found this site doing a search for T-5Z information, I am currently a patron of Fordmuscle web magzine, and this looks like a great place to hang out as well. I subscribed and surfed around a little bit, I suppose it will take awhile to get to know all the functions and tricks to navagating.

If you dont mind I have a problem with my T-5Z that is in my 65 Mustang, I think the synchro`s are gone in 3rd gear and was looking for information on parts and cost. I drag race it frequently and it runs mid 12`s and have always seemed to have issues with 3rd gear.

Anyway thanks for any help you might have.

Check a FRPP catalog...I believe the only difference in the T5-Z was the gear ratios. If the shift forks are bent, you can get another cover with forks out of a JY tranny...if it's the synchro's, check the FRPP Catalog, they have a T5 freshening kit in there.

Joe will hook you up if you call him at FordSpeed...800-683-7099

Or try a ford speedshop locally...of course that's easier..
