People that go to the Darkside should be permanently banned. Internet trolling should be a jail-able offense.
This is a Mustang site, and should be dedicated to Mustangs. Why do people insist on posting about their new vettes, or their cool new honda?
I'm sure the new vette is faster, it should be for the $20000 or so more than you pay. But, I can mod my stang for much less, and burn your bow-tie.

true, this is a mustang site. but does that mean you cant appreciate other cars as well? Corvette are awesome cars and a thrill to ride. I would be proud of mine just as i am proud of my mustang. and there are a lot of cool guys (and gals) on this site that would like to see pics of the vette if i got one. Its just small talk in a community lounge. If you dont wanna read about it, then dont. Not frustrated, but as I said, this IS a Mustang site. People are free to buy whatever they want. But, if I drove a vette, I wouldn't be on a Mustang site. I would go to a vette site, or a typical GM propaganda site. I appreciate other cars, but, here I appreciate Mustangs. I go to another site for F150's. Another for Yellow mustangs, specifically.

Hey, this is simply my opinion, and in no way do I believe that AFM posting policy should be influenced by it. Of course we have free speech, I fought for it, like many before me. I'm expressing it. But hey, like you said, "it's all good." It just seems like wearing a tshirt to a black tie dinner. No harm in it, but should you do it?

you got to remember though, this is the community lounge. And in the lounges here that dont have to have anything to do with mustangs. If all you want to talk about it mustangs, then there are plenty of posts and threads JUST about mustangs. If you dont want to read about anything else, just breeze over the rest. I enjoy reading the threads about other stuff too though, and i like the fact that i dont have to jump from website to website to get some good reading material. Everyone has their opinion though, but if we werent allowed to talk about any other types of cars, where would we draw the line? would it be bad to talk about beating a corvette in a race? or how about a corvette that revved his engine at my mustang today? just talking about them in a bad perspective would be reverse propaganda, and i dont feel like having "mustangs are the only good cars on the planet" being the main topic of every thread.

to me it sounds like you are being childish and have some envy to deal with, these guys had mustangs and problably have alot more money than you do. They bought other cars because they wanted something different, maybe they arent as die hard as you are about the mustang as and end all be all. would your opinion change if you could comfortably afford a brand new vette? maybe, maybe not. Its not like they came on here bashing mustangs they said hey, i got a new car i problably wont be around. If you dont want to see it dont click the thread, its in a community forum on a car website, true car people appreciate all cars weather they are fordguys, chevy guys, etc.. you say "I don't go to guitar websites to talk about playing drums. Well, allrighty then. I'm glad you are here to personally analyze me. I'll work on my personality to please you. I promise I'll gow up, since you feel that I should. My post was more tongue in cheek humor to help state an opinion on the unimplied ethics of web boards. I guess I should have posted in italics, and bold humor intended for you. I wasn't trying to direct anyone on how they should behave. I don't care if people buy/drive/like/post whatever they feel. I just feel that there are other places for it. Noobastang, and others have already given me enlightenment on this subject, and I appreciate his thoughtful dialogue.

Hmm.......I wonder if you're referring to me. Just switched from being a mustang and Cobra owner for the last 10 years. Matter of fact, my first mustang became a h/c/i, exhaust, supercharged 480rwhp beast. My 03 Cobra was also a 480rwhp monster. So I know some things about stangs. I think for a short while longer I will still add my opinion on mustang sites because that's what I'm used to. I am however on Corvette sites as well and I posted a pic on here because I'm damn happy to have my new C6. I see your sense of humor in the post but I felt I should respond.

I remember the day at the track years ago when a guy in his pea green turbo-charged Pinto was smoking most of his competition, including my 3 year old Mustang GT at the time. You know what, I could have cared less. He drove a Pinto and it would never be my newer stang. You can make any car fast but that doesn't make it better. The new C6 is far and above what the new stang is. It's a sports car and sells for 50k so it should be better, in all aspects. Of course I can also mod my Vette to make it go faster as well. I do have the money but I think I will leave it be for now. The car speaks for itself, all 400hp in its light 3,180lb frame.
