Cool Went to Great Lakes Dragaway tonight and saw something remarkable

So tonight a few of my buddies and I went to Great Lakes Dragaway in Union Grove Wisconsin.

First thing I am going to say because im too excited to not say it is one car that caught my eye more than anything.
This car was what appeared to be a REAL SVT 10.0 Liter BOSS Mustang. I made sure to get photos to finish off my rolls from a long time ago so i can finally get these developed. Now I have gone to SVT's website and compared what a real 10.0Liter BOSS mustang has on it...

Now one thing i know is that no regular cobra has an Automatic transmission. This one did. The specs say it is a modified C6 3 speed auto. This one had an auto. The brakes looked exceptionally large on this car. The tech site claims they have 4 piston calipers with 13 inch brembo rotors. All of which this car seemed to have.
The seats were white leather which had custom embroidery of "SVT BOSS" on them.
The wheels in the rear were HUMUNGOUS Cobra wheels. The tech site says they are 10.5 inches wide in the rears. He had BF goodriches on them.

Although SVT's website says "There is no intent of producing the boss", i beleive this may be a real one. Perhaps for testing of some sort perhaps. We have many people come to this track testing out new concept cars all the time.

Now maybe this car was a replica of some sort, but i wish i would have seen it run.

Okay anyway... People there could not drive if their life depended on it tonight. A guy in a Mystic cobra with drag radials ran a 15.7 !!! I almost threw up in anger.
Other mustangs and cars were running terrible. People were mis-shifting, blowing clutches, almost slamming into walls, burning out past the start line, just overall not a good racing night.

Pretty pathetic. There was a classic mustang fastback there running 11's though. VEEEERY Nice! Beautiful red with white stripes. I have photos of that too. Probably the nicest car out there aside from this what I would like to think a true SVT Boss.

When I get photos developed of the car show i was at like 2 months ago, and everything else as well as tonight, i will post them.

Hey Nick,
I know that SVT sold a bunch of concept cars that they were storing. The profits when to fund different charities. So, you could of actually seen the real 10.0 liter Boss. Man, that would be great. How come you weren't out there showing all those people how do drive?

I would have shown them all how to drive but my car was in the shop having my clutch installed. I didint wanna show them up in a sebring now

That would be great to see the look on the guys face with the mystic cobra getting beat with a Sebring!!!!

that guy in the cobra could not drive for the life of him. He has Mickey Thompsons on it and was running a damn 15.7

i ran a 15.6 in my '96 probe GT with a hotshot cold air intake system.

You had one too.. It was a fun car handled great I even got it up to 137 one time. I t was fun to play with the ricer's but my buddies with muscle cars would just leave me around town. I only wish there was more to do to that car.

Back when I had the car 95-97 there wasn't anything out there. I wish there was more at that time I would have kept the car. I've got to check out probetalk.com too see how far people have gone with them.
