Default AWD Mustang

Hey all, been a while since i posted last. I was wondering what one would need to convert a 2wd car such as a Mustang into a Awd beast. Is there even a way this can be done? If who have heard anything about this type of conversion please let me know.

I seen it done at the Ford Expo when it was still held in Xenia. The person used the parts from a AWD Aerostar and a AWD Tempo. That is all I really remember.

Why would you want to make a AWD mustang?

AWD Tempo? I didn't think they made any of those. I bet you could get a transfer case and front end from an Escape and do it with some forethought and good welding.

The only problem I see even when you get past trying to find room for everything to fit is finding parts that will handle 500whp. I agree it would be nice to be able to drive my car all year long and enjoy my investment. I have even thought about selling the Stang for a 97-98 Mitsu Turbo AWD.

Between '85 and '88 Ford made all wheel drive Tempos. My brother and I almost Pro Rallied one, but Ford wasn't willing to offer us enough help to lure us away from Chrysler Corp. We were running an Omni GLH Turbo.
