Hey guys, we purchased and installed an excellent Product Reviews section thinking it would be a great way for you guys to share experiences and opinions on the many different products available for our Mustangs.

Posting product feedback in the Reviews section is a great way for members to give fellow Mustangers some insight and a heads up before purchasing a given product. Considering how easy it is to add a product for review or add a product review, we are surprised to see it is not more used by our members.

We are very curious to know how many of you guys have actually used it or even visited it as well as any comments and/or suggestions you may have on how we can improve it. Have any of you experienced problems or difficulties in using it? More importantly, would appreciate your opinion on whether you think it adds value to our site or should we simply remove it?

It definitely adds value to the site. I did notice one thing, none of the Induction parts that I have added are on the list, so I can't provide any feedback on them.

It might be easier to view all of the parts a little faster if there was a higher limit to the number of items per page(instead of 24 maybe 50?), and also maybe next/back buttons instead of having to click each page. Just a suggestion.

BlueStreak03 you should be able to add any product you like for Product Review. Click on the upload Product link in the top right hand corner on the main product page:

If you rather, just post a reply with what products you would like to see added and I will add them asap. Maybe we should have a forum or thread where members can simply post what they would like added. What do you think? Would that be of any help?

Thndr13 the current software version does not have a feature where we can easily increase the default number of items per page more than 24. There is a newer release available and I think it does have that feature built in. If you guys want us to keep the Product Reviews section online, I'll see what we can do about getting the newer release installed.

Definitely keep it around. I'm not so much in the market right now, but it's nice to have around when I need insight into potiential purchases.

BlueStreak03, I added product photos and text to the new products you submitted to the product review section. Did I add the correct ones? If not let me know and I'll get it corrected.

What about the rest of you guys and girls... how about some input, the good and the bad. We really need all of your feedback here. How about it?

Yeah those pics are correct. I went ahead and added inputs to the ones I had forgotten to do that with.

Well... I admit I don't go there...There are many valuable sections of the site I just don't have time to hit....I really can't see anything wrong with it's format... other than lack of current updates...of course thats what your looking to get from this.

One thought on it's inactivity is...The forums themselves like S197+ are kinda like a product review section...Everytime someone does a mod...They post a review with pics ...sometimes directions on install and generally info on the seller...Most of us interested in a product either look up old post on it or just remember what we read before.
I don't visit many of the other specific year car forums but I imagine it's much the same....If your looking for part info on a specific year car..most users will search that specific forum, thinking that would give the most acurate info.
That would make the Product review section redundant.

It's kinda like a STICKY...you put it there for us all to see and read ..but we just look past it and never open it.

thunder05 I hear what you are saying. The forums do provide alot of great info on products.

The original idea of having the Products Review section was two-fold. One - it would be an easy way for members to browse through many the different products available on the market. Hopefully finding something they are interested in or need. and Two - Serve as a way for members to upload products and post product reviews so they could share their experiences and opinions on different products in an organised fashion.

Having said that, we have already started to make a real effort to add many new products now available on the market. Hopefully our members will lend a hand and upload products they use that are not already in our Products Review section, as well as post product reviews where they can. Since we already have the reviews section online we would like to get our members more involved and see what value it can add.

We are going to upload to the latest software release soon and hopefully many of the new features in the latest release will provide even more added value for our members.
