10 days ago my mom had a new convertible top installed on her 91 LX. This is the first step in the make over for her car. Along with the new top the car is going to be given Saleen Ground effects ( The front air dam is off an actual Saleen car :thumbsup ), and a new paint which will have some red silvcer and blue in it.
I have posted some before and after pics let me know what you guys think.
Also we were told,by the shop that installed the top, to wait at least 7 days before letting the top down, and to carefully assist the top if it hung up in the process. Well after I dropped my dad off at the airport I came back home and decided that 10 days was enough time and I wanted to make sure everything worked smoothly. Well The top started going down with ease and I thought, hey thta sa good thing. Well the top was almost down when I heard "POW!"

My mom had just come into the shop to see her car when it happened. So I started letting it up and well wouldnt you know it the back glass was gone

. Apparently the back wimndow couldnt sustain the strain and it well "folded" under pressure. This is the same piece of glass that was in the old top, There was nothing in the way for the glass to be pushed against. It appears that the top was too tight and when it was lowered it did not have any slack to allow the window to go down into its reserved area so it crushed it instead.
So am I wrong for thinking that the shop that installed the top should have to replace the broken glass since I did wait past the recommended period and followed instructions on how to let the top down?
