...is about to make me mad. I ordered the gages and pod for the blower install on the 6th and it said the backorder date was the 24th. This afternoon I checked the site again and it's sayin half my stuff won't be here til the 12th of Feb. grrrrrrrrrrrr.....I know they don't make the stuff, but geez. With the volume of sales they move you'd think their customers would come high up on the priority list for back ordered stuff.

Just be patient. Like you said, they don't make the parts. You could always try to find one on Ebay or somewhere else and cancel your Summit order.

I have made several orders with Summit over the years and have nothing but good to say about them and their level of customer service. I think what is getting bad these days is the J.I.T. (just in time) programs most manufactures have picked up from the Japanese. The problem is it seems that only the Japanese can pull this off, most American manufactures that try this are causing problems for distributors like Summit by being way behind with product.

I feel your pain though, it absolutely sucks to be waiting around expecting a cool new part for the Stang only to be told it's going to be even longer till it shows up.

Well I cancelled those parts and ordered ones they have in stock. I HAD ordered the Auto Meter Sport Comp II boost and fuel pressure gages. I cancelled those and ordered the Sport Comp line instead, they should be here tomorrow with any luck.

I just received a post card today.. my stuff is on back order.

The Just in tiem delivery takes many systems to implement.

1. If a supplier shuts down our line... they pay the workers wages as they stand there and do nothing.

Thats always first part fo the agreement.

Sometimes it you bring a product to the market and find out ou have a high demand from people waiting... like the 05 Mustang GT.

I on the other hand have been waiting for Hurst's shifter... and now My order has been pushed back. Atleast they havent charged my debit card yet and won't until they ship it... I am cool with that.

I love both summit and Jegs!

I have to say Summit's customer service has been good through the whole thing. When I called to cancel that order, there was no arguing or haggling, they simply cancel the charge and the order. The gages I ordered that night just arrived this afternoon. Even when I called to get the price match on my A/F ratio meter, there was no haggle. All they asked was where the part was found cheaper and a product number from that site and I had my refund the next day.
