so far today i've gotten 6 phone calls from the same person and each time its been a wrong number? normally it wouldn't be that big of a deal to me except that right now i work third shift and i work a second job in the mornings (mustang parts are expensive) and these calls have come when i am supposidly sleeping and to top it off this person was incredibly rude i'll admite i was a little rude the 5th and 6th time but honestly who wouldn't be a little mad
so anyway now i'm up i have to go to work in a few and i havn't slept and i was wondering if i could get some help giving some pay back i was thinking a few random wrong numbers would theach them a leason (or at least make me feel better) anyway the number is 434-929-1577 (this number is in virginia?)
Ok im up for calling him but if a bunch of people do it we need one name to ask for so they get really annoyed. Also its better if you have a name you know isnt theirs. Like one new years my brother was drunk and phoned as many people as possilbe and kept asking for heather... eventually heather was there. lol

We had a similar situation. The caller would ask for 'Brenda.' After several 'wrong numbers' we just started telling the male caller Brenda went out with Joe or Dan or Freddie......calls stopped after a couple more.

Maybe, while you are on third shift, you should start calling them during your breaks. Just tell them that you so thoroughly enjoyed being awakened during the day to talk to them that you decided to return the favor in the middle of the night. I can hear it now:
*RING RING* *RING RING*
Jerk Who Called You (JWCY): Hello...
You: (in the most chipper voice you can manage): Hey, buddy! How's it goin'?
JWCY: Unnhhh...who is this?
You: Hey, it's me! C'mon, you remember me. Sure you do, I'm the guy you called six times earlier today even though I kept telling you it was the wrong number. We talked so much I feel like we know each other now. I just wanted to call and catch up - see how things are going with you.
JWCY: Do you know what time it is?
You: Of course I do! I'm at work and since I work third shift and sleep during the day - or at least try to sleep, except when morons are calling me for no good reason - it must be the middle of the night. 3am to be exact. But, hey, since you continually called while I was trying to sleep today, I figured you wouldn't mind if I called while you were trying to sleep tonight. What's a little lost sleep between new friends?
JWCY: Don't call here anymore.
You: Well, I hate to see our friendship end so soon, but I'll make a deal with you; you don't call me anymore and I won't call you. Otherwise, if you call me again, I will have to assume you have changed your mind and still want to hear from me. Sweet dreams.
I've found that air horns and whistles work wonders for phone prankers. Not to mention a random kazoo every now and then. I bet if you called up asking all kinds of nice personal questions it'd be quite humurous also. I do that to telemarketers when they call. Let them get about 20 seconds into their pitch and then start asking what they had for dinner and what color shoes they're wearing and when was the last time they pooped. It gets more and more graphic from there, if it lasts longer than that. I seldom get a return call from that business.
Hey, we need a number, I'm working nights too right now, I bet they'd love a whistle being blown in their ear at 3am.

This is why I turned my ringer off on my home phone, and I'm very careful who I give my cell phone number to. I work 2nd shift at my job, so I sleep from 4 in the morning or so until noon or so, go to work at 3, get off at midnight... repeat...
I used to work 3rd shift though, and when telemarketers called I'd let them do their whole sales pitch and then start trying to "negotiate" with them... hee hee.
"So, you're offering me long distance at 10 cents a minute??? hmmm... well, that is a lot of money... how about 6 and a half cents?" they'd usually stammer, get flustered and start repeating their sales pitch, of call their supervisor! I'd mess with them for about three or four more minutes, then randomly yell out something disturbing or disgusting (such as you two quit doing that! you're COUSINS!) and put the phone down, without hanging it up, and giving a loud lecture to my imaginary victims... they'd invariably have hung up when I was done.

Hahahaha!!! No doubt about unplugging the phone and turning the answering machine all the way down. Just last month, my mom told me that before I was old enough to talk, she or my dad would put me on the phone with telemarketers, especially when they interupted dinner. We'd gotten on the subject because I'd asked her about mailing back pesky unsolicited postage-paid envelopes. She said she weighs them down with untraceable scrap paper! I like to mail them from a different zip code too...
If it was me, and I was really pissed off about being woken up for something stupid(I always am), I would wait a few weeks, and hit 'em with a phony wrong-number-call from a phone booth in the middle of the night. Maybe wait a few weeks, and do it once more.

I find it always works when you answer the third time, give yourself a little bit of a New Jersey Italian accent, and go, "Hey, im with the Benendetti crime family you tubid(stupid) b*t*h, dont call back or im gunna send someone over to whack your ass, you understand?" They usually dont want to risk and and wont call back.
hmmm i'd love ta help but once upon a time in the fiddlers inn bar a guy named scott told a story like that and gave everyone the number to call...said some yahoo kept callin him and hangin up...asked if all his buds could teach em a lesson...so everyone in the bar decides to help out...we're all havin a laugh about it but the sober fella in the back decides to talk to the person we been screwin around with on the phone...turns out the yahoo is scotts ex and scott cant call her no more cause of a order of protection so he gets all of us to harass her for him....i felt kinda bad (not as bad as scott outside though) so i stay out of stuff like that now
I feel your pain man. I had the same thing happen about a year ago. A guy called my phone about 4 times in the course of 1 hour or so. It was about 1:30 in the morning when the calls started. I had an early class the next morning so I was trying to get some sleep. Well this guy made sure that did not happen.
The first 2 times the guy called and asked for Jason and I politely( and tiredly) explained to the guy that I did not know anyone named Jason. The guy on the other end of the line was drunk, so it was kind of funny but still annoying. I just turned the volume down on the phone after the 2nd call but it still lit up the next 2 times he called.
Well I recognized the area code to be a California one so I figured out my way to get even. I woke up at 6 the next morning ( 3am in Cali) and phoned my new friend. He answered very tired and still very drunk. I asked for Jason. He told me I had the wrong number. I called back about 20 minutes later , and got the same response. When I called the 3rd time he picked up and I guess he recognized the number by now, because he just started apologizing, He kept saying sorry, he explained he had no idea what he did to piss me off but he was sorry, he just wanted to sleep so he could make it into work the next morning.
I never heard from him again, but I like to think when he sobered up he put the two together and realized his mistake.

When I was a stockbroker(Glorified telemarketer) we used to call people all day long every day, every once in a while you would get a real A**hole. Our job was to call as many people in in a day as we could to try and push whatever stock we were pushing, most of the time the secretary/receptionist was screening calls so when we could not get through we would leave the a**holes name and number. He would get random calls from all over the country, "Hi a**hole this is Joe Blow returning your call" this was the ultimate telemarketers revenge...If we have any telemarketers here they should leave his # with every secretary/wife/daughter/etc. that they can not get through... :evil lol:
