Default How do you store/carry your cleaning products

I currently have all of my cleaning supplies in a plastic tote in the trunk. However, I don't like the 'looks' of it, and it's not really big enough (stuff kinda hangs out the top). Plus the box slides around a lot and I hate the banging around.... Suggestions? Thought about transferring everything over to a duffle bag and keep extra plastic bags for wet stuff.

Not being a smart a$$-have you tried search? Either here or on The Mustang Source, some people had posted some pretty clever ideas. Good luck.

Go with the duffle bag and plastic bags. Works great.

I have a shelf in the garage. If the design and location intrigue you, I will post a picture. It is a pine shelf about 3 foot long and 12 inchs wide - unpainted, by the way.

I screwed a plastic case to the back of one of the rear seats.
I have basic tools in there, plus Mech gloves, Wax, Polish, etc.
It is 17 inches wide so theres enough storage for what i need.

It is a flat craftsman case, such as this:

smart-ass. Jk. Usually I do, but for some reason, I figured this was one of my own 'dumb' questions and doubted anyone else had asked.... I'll try that - thanks!

Hey - thanks for the offer, it would be great if you could do that!! (read sarcasm here). But thanks for the reply!

Okay, I knew it was a stupid question, but just thought someone out there may have a really cool idea for storing and CARRYING tools and such with them in the car. I'll go invest in a duffle....

Actually, they are on a shelf. I did have them in one of those plastic milk crates in the trunk and discovered it was moving around and in doing so, did something to the lock so the "trunk open" light kept coming on. So as cleaning is a thing I do at home, they really are on my shelf, so I know where to find them. But I lied about the size - all men do. LOL - have a great day.

Before someone on this forum told me that the trunk release handle velcroed to the trunk lid, grocery bags and what not would catch on the handle and cause problems. None since. Sorry if off topic a bit.

Cleaning products? Ah won't the car just get dirty again if you clean it? ........................Just kidding!

I haven't went anywhere that far from my garage yet to need to carry cleaning supplies in the trunk. But I like the duffle bag idea. I am gonna give it a try when I do a 1400 mile road trip this summer.

I keep mine in a 6 foot tall metal closet. I have a lot. I use the same soap, tire shine, wash mitts, brushes, detailing wax and polishes etc that dealerships use on their new cars. I used to work at one so I scammed on some good stuff.

But when I was living in an apartment I had a large duffel bag with ziplock bags( the big ones) and plastic bags for any wet items. I still carry the neccesities in that bag when ever I go on a road trip or stay away for a few days.
