Mustang Dynamometer......fact or fiction? I just put my bone stock 89 5.0 on the dyno ( the Mustang brand) All the car has is a K&N filter , Royal Purple synthetic fluids and 3.55 gears and timing bumped up so it doesnt ping on mid grade gas. These were the results:
Maximum power 152.4 @4035 RPM / 84.25 MPH
with WCF 152.4
Maximum torque 216.8 @3035 RPM /62.2 MPH
with WCF 216.8
Baseline in 4th gear 60 mph to 95 mph
The weight in the computer program is 2800 lbs
It also pointed out that had an air fuel ratio ( avg of 11.3)
Now I read that different dynamometers give different results. Would these results be accurate?
According to the test the car is running too rich.
BTW if true just ran a 14.06@94.95 mph on MT drag slicks ....is this possible with 152.4 rear wheel h.p.?
