Went camping with my friends this weekend and jsut got back today. was a good time. Left on thursday night. Friday was fun with a trip to the local drag strip, Saskatchewan International Raceway. Saw some nice cars there. A couple mustangs one 89 GT running mid 12s. A 94 (I think) Cobra doing 14s. And A Mustang (Not sure of the year) but it sint a mustang anymore... Back end was tubbed out and it had soem mass tires not sure what was under the hood tho... It took off and burnt alot of rubber down probly an 1/8th of the track then went towards the wall he slows down gets back on track and at this time he is about 1/4 way down and still runs a 9.3.. that thing was fun to watch, And my favorite for the day was a 67 Shelby Cobra. It was a convertable and it was street legal so he wasnt aloud to run too high of a time so when he had lots of room left on the track he was hitting the brakes and getting 13s It was a damn nice car. This was a street legal test and tune day so anyone could go in so you get some of the guys who arent regulars. A older hatchback civic. not ricey at all running mid 13s I dont like Civics but for that car it ran a damn good time. And a Del Sol running aobut the same. Also very clean looking. And I like those Honda's.. probly the only one I do like. And the usual god damn SRT-4s ugly as hell but fast...
Well other than that it was a weekend of fishing, kayaking, girls, swimming, and fast cars.
Anyone else have a good weekend they wanna share?

My wife and I were out running errands yesterday and, sort of spur of the moment, we went to see what we could find out about an offroading area Snake Pliskin told us about called Windrock. We were in my wife's Mazda 6, so we didn't actually hit any trails, but at least we know where the place is now.
This afternoon it was raining so my wife and I decided to take my Bronco II out to a very light trail/dirt road in the Tellico Mountains in an area called Conasauga Falls. I got some mud on it but, unfortunately, it was raining enough that it came home nearly as clean as when we left. It's a pretty area, but we haven't actually made the hike from the trail to the falls yet. We plan to do so when it is cool enough and not raining, so maybe I will try and get some pics next time.
Another good thing is that we are finally ditching dial-up. We've got someone from the cable company coming tomorrow to add Internet service to our cable package and I plan to set up a wireless network. If everything goes as planned, by tomorrow night I should be posting from the other end of a high-speed connection (which I already do at work, but that just isn't the same)!
Sadly I have been working two jobs for awhile and worked all this weekend . 10 hours saturday and 8 hours sunday . ( total of 58 hours for the week between both jobs ) But hey , I have some wicked fun day dreams ( at work ) of mustang weekend road trips . When ever I get a few bucks ahead I will burn my vacation and have some fun !
edit :
Hmmm , post 666 No wonder I been haveing these day dreams LOL

Sarturday was an absolute blast for me. Got to put the Explorer in 4WD and take off across a field that reminds me of the opening scene from Little House on the Prairie. Rolling hills, wildflowers and just absolutely untouched for the last 3 years or so. I can't wait til I can build my house back there in a corner of that property. It's absolute Heaven back there.

Well, I'm now connected wirelessly. My desktop is located a pretty good distance from the router, so it is saying 'signal is very low', but the connection is still lightning fast - faster even that the connection at work!

I hope you secured your wireless so your neighbors aren't enjoying high speed at your expense.

One of the benefits of living in the boon-docks is that we have no neighbors close enough. We can't even get DSL here yet, so cable was our only choice. But, yeah, securing is the next step as soon as I get all of the XP updates downloaded that I couldn't get because dialup was just so slooooow. Those updates are in progress as we speak.
