I'm getting kinda tired of my Autumn Orange 97 GT and would like some opinions about what it is worth. I'll describe the mods and then lets talk about it... In the looks/handling department I have chrome 17X9 Cobra R replica's with 275/40/17 Fuzion ZRI tires with 75% tread. Car has been lowered 1.5 inches with Eibach Pro springs, UPR bump steer kit, new Monroe sensatrac shocks in rear. Full length Kenny Brown sub frame connectors welded. On the inside I have white faced gauges that light up blue and green at night. alluminum pedals, Mach 1/ Bullitt shift knob on a Pro 50 shifter. Under the hood I have BBK underdrive pulleys, BBK 75 MM throttle body, and BBK fender mount cold air kit. Accel coil packs with Accel 8.8 wires. Taylor battery relocation kit in trunk. Professionally installed FRPP 3.73s with all new bearings. UPR off road X pipe with Magnaflow cat back exhaust. UPR adjustable clutch cable and quadrant. Walbro 255 high pressure fuel pump with -8an feed line to fuel rails with Kirban ajustable fuel pressure regulator. Paint and body are about average or a little better for a 97 with 90k miles, interior is in above average condition and leather is worn but has no tears. Car looks real good when cleaned up. I also have most stock parts and new Steeda X2 ball joints and King Cobra clutch. The only thing it needs is new front struts. Sometimes it grinds a little when banging 2nd gear. I was going to drain trans and refill with synthetic to help this problem. BTW car has every option available except the automatic trans. KBB says retail in excelent condition will go for $7700 with premium wheels. Any thoughts about it are welcome.

my friend got his 99 GT with half the **** you got on your for 10k, you could get that much easy.how many miles on it? (i'd buy that from you in a heart beat if i lived in Illinois)
Sooo.... anybody else? I really want a low mileage Green 01 Bullitt. I want to put a few mods on it and just cruise it/ show it. I'm thinking I have ot get at least $8k for my GT to make me happy, it does have over $3k in mods.

General rule of thumb is Blue Book + 25% of modification parts cost is the price on a custom car. A little more if the mods have been professionally done with receipts.
On the other hand, selling the custom parts generally gets you 50% of the value of the parts.

i just bought my 98 with 25,000 miles for $7,000... mine was stock though and a v6, i have lower milage but its also a v6 (used GTs usually worth $2,000 more). Your milage is kinda high, so i would say $7,000-$9,000.
In my area a car like yours sells for $6500-$6800. Pick up a local Car Retail magazine from the gas station and see how things look, 96-98 cars in my area just don't sell because of the weak HP numbers and 89-95 cars sell usally with in days at much higher prices than a 96-98 car. It is all based on the area and the demand.

Yeah, it's all about location. Around here you would be lucky to get $6k on the high side private party.

KBB retail price is not the transaction price but the average starting price dealers put on the window. 'It is representative of a dealer’s asking price and the starting point for negotiation.' Also people will pay more money for a car at a dealer than private party because there is the expectation that a dealer has checked for and fixed any mechanical and cosmetic problems and has a reputation to uphold.
I think I would take $8k for it if someone has the cash in my face. I might take $7500 but it would have to be to the right person. I hate trying to sell stuff like this because everyone wants to see what its got. I usually drive first and hot rod it some and then let the perspective buyer drive and tell them to take it easy. I think once I finish moving I'll advertise it for $9k and see how much response I get.
