Default What to do about the old Fox body GT

So last evening I fired up the 93 GT to move it so I could mow the grass. She ran a little rough after sitting idle for more than a week. Still having guilt about letting her go. If we had it in the budget to fix her up I would keep her, but that's not something we can afford in the foreseeable future.

But I have to admit I haven't done much to try and sell her. The guy from Pepboys wants her real bad, but had financial difficulties and can't buy her unless I finance him, and I don't think my wife and I are comfortable with that.

My neighbors son just got his license and wants a car. Saw her last night and she asked how much I wanted for it. I told her I wasn't too sure about selling it to a teenage boy. The temptation to race on the street is too great. Her son has never driven a manual tranny anyway.

Right now the 93 only gets driven to take the dogs to the park on weekends. Sad really, since it has been a great car for me for nearly 14 years.

Store it and forget about it until you can restore it
Just dont leave it over the grass, moisture can rust it fast.

I agree with Rob. Put a tarp and some blocks under it, throw a cover over it and keep it until you can restore it. 6 more years and it's a collectible, definitely worth hanging on to if you don't need the cash from selling it.

Sell a mustang GT you bought new????

I totally agree prep her for storage and keep her, its paid for and you are not out anything and in 10-16 years (if you have kids) they could be driving a “classic”

Well I agree with what everybody else said, but .......honestly it sounds to me like you don't really want to sell it, and you are quite attached to it . Don't do anything regretfull. If you have ANY doubts.....KEEP THE CAR! Just my opinion.
