I am interested in replacing the chrome pony on the grill of my 06 mustang gt- I have seen the stars-stripes & flaming pony in blue oval industries. i would like to know if anyone has tried this.
websites have shown to replace this you have to take off the grill & disconnect the lights- way too much trouble for that. this one at Blue oval mentions clips for installation included. Anyone done this.
pcitures? Ideas? Suggestions thanks MarkO
blue oval industries are a decent company . I have ordered a few things from them and had very good luck . Maybe call their customer service line and ask them your questions .

I'll second that. I just bought an S&B CAI from them (I like dealing locally whenever possible) and they were very polite and helpful. Go ahead and ask them, I'd bet they could tell you right away how difficlut it would be to work on the grille.

OK, so I've added a few things to it. Check my Profile - too many to list here.
DO NOT BUY FROM BLUE OVAL UNTIL YOU READ MY THREAD AT 4.6Tech ... I could be saving you a lot of money! The thread in 4.6 tech talk is "Avoid Blue Oval Industries at all costs" after reading it you decide if you want to go forward with your purchase

You mean the phone in the back of their shop in the mop room in that little BFE town!
They sent me parts after I canceled an order, and I called to complain and he said that he would re-fund me everything but shipping and a 20% re-stock fee. He got all defensive and rude. The guys an A$$ hole, and I told him " I will send you back the parts after I take a sh*t in the box and enclose a customer service for dummies book.........
Actually, BOI is getting bad press on many Mustang forums for problems with orders, deliveries, and customer service. I've never dealt with them so I cant say if they are a good supplier or not.
I agree with you Gary Paul, that it isnt any help that superman x13 tags a comment on a 2 year-old post. I cant tell you how many times I do a search and pull up old threads and it isnt until after posting a reply I realize its old news. The moderators should lock threads that no longer hold value after a certain length of inactivity .. . like a year. However, x13 post in the 4.6Tech section is current and he appears to communicate his side pretty well about the problems he has with BOI.
It sounds like BOI's owner has read his post (according to x13). However, BOI hasnt chimed in and publicly stated their side of the story. The bad publicity certainly doesnt help a business in these hard economic times so maybe the owner(s) will either set the record straight or make good on a deal possibly gone awry.

They will never chime in. I asked the guy why he was being so rude and I told him he has bad customer service skills wich are a key in todays crappy economy especially for good customer retention. His response was " Screw you buddy I will run my shop the way I want to run it."
This was 2 months ago.......................
Why revive this two year old thread to bash Blue Oval Industries?
Your post is certainly not in time to help or guide the original poster.
Yes it is, this is more to help others who come across the thread
