So my wife, girls and I went to Disneyland on Sunday...well, I am heading into a show with some drinks and a sparrow's wing clips my arm, no big thing, right? Just wait....2 hours later in Downtown Disney, I was eating an ice cream cone, raised my left had and I had TWO sparrows fly into my hand hard enough to draw blood.....I stayed away from my pet cockatoo for a full day!

Man, it sounds like the little guys were out to get you! I know that those little beaks can hurt. I had a pet sparrow for a short time (last year, actually.) I found her abandoned in a gas station parking lot and hand-raised her. I think she was kicked out of the nest because she was the runt - she never got nearly as big as a 'normal' sparrow. I tried to release her when she got old enough, but she wasn't having that - she'd fly straight to my shoulder and refuse to leave. She was one of the best, most affectionate pets I have ever had, but I let her get too close to my face one day and she pecked me in the eye - not out of malice, just being a normal, curious bird - it was more my fault than hers for letting her get that close. Unfortunately, she didn't live very long (no, I didn't hurt her for pecking me) - only about eight or nine months. I guess runts never live very long. I have a pet cockatiel now, hand-raised by my brother-in-law's aunt. I don't let her near my eyes - and that eye still hurts sometimes when I first wake up.
You and your cockatoo should take a pic that is reminiscent of the old 'Baretta' television show. That would be pretty funny.
I seriously considered trying such a pic with my cockatiel (she's not a standard grey one - she's mostly white/pale yellow (I think it's called 'clear pied') with some brighter yellow - especially on her crest. I was going to put it in the 'Mustang Men' contest (figured doing a 'Robert Blake' inspired pose might scare them into picking me for the winner), but I just don't think it would be the same.
