Hegemony being a term that means, basically, dominance of one group over another, this would be meant to be kind of a funny double-entendre (by spelling it Hedgemony - like hedges - instead of hegemony), plus it could indicate your 'dominance' over other 'yardwork' businesses.
An old trick used by some businesses was to name themselves 'A1' this or 'Acme' that. Not only does this indicate something that is 'the best', it also (perhaps more importantly) puts you at the top of the 'alphabetical order' lists in the phone book so that if someone needs yardwork done and they just pick up the book and look for listings to call, the first one they come to is yours.
