Can you help a lifelong Surfer with an Update?
Since I have moved to Tennessee 2 years ago, I am missing the surf Big Time.
I hear Australia is getting hammered right now with great surf. Do you surf/spend time at the beach? How is the surf? How 'bout a little update so I can daydream
wow, I am finding more and more active members from Knoxville
Yeah, grew up in South Florida and spent 38 years there. Now living in(near) Knoxville. Long way to the Outer Banks, just as long back to Florida to paddle out. Still a GATOR FAN though, GO GATORS. I only root for the Vols to lose.
Anyway, anybody else near the coast that will give me an Update? I check Surfline everyday(sometimes i cry, sometimes not ) but it's better to hear from guys/gals that just came back in from a session.

Went down cronulla way today, got sunburnt in the process but it was worth the drive and burn. The waves were pretty small, and the water was shallow out to about 70m in. (but it could have just been low tide). The water was cool- cold and clear. There were strong currents though, pulling me away... I couldnt walk in the water overall a good day.. just thought I'd try and update you out of experience.

I've already informed my "better half"( ) as soon as the kids graduate H.S. (5yrs), I'm moving. Hope she joins me.

I was confused, as well. Then I saw how easy it was to mistake the word "surfing" for the word "suffering." Maybe this explains it. So, perhaps it's not "surfing-suicide," maybe it's "surfing-suffering."
