As a racing fan, I'm pretty stoke that Ford had success with the Mustangs in Grand Am. Its great to see a Mustang beat BMW M3 and Porsche 911. After watching Le Man 24hr and the FIA GT series, it made me wonder, why isn't Ford in those races? GM has the Corvette, Chrysler has the Viper, Saleen has the S7, Ferrari has the F430, Masaratti has the MC12, so on and so forth. Sure Aston Martin has the DB9, but Ford is looking to sell them. It would have been awesome to see the Ford GT take on the rest of the world's best cars and see the GT win. Its kind of a shame to create such a great car and not even race it at all. Do any of you think the Mustang will ever race with those group of cars?

Yea, and losing to the Corvettes.

I think that the racing series may have a regulation of number of cars made availabl to the public before you can use it in the raving series. Possibly the GT doesn't make it?

And losing badly. The corvette owns Austin Martin. And who knows how much longer Ford will own them.

Yeah, Ford is hemmoraging money right now, so I don't blame them for not wanting to lose money by racing...

in the ALMS, it took the Vette team until Laguna (last race) to clinch the championship, in the FIA GT championship, Austin Martin WON the championship. Before lipping off, know the racing world first. Quite honestly, I am amaized that Masarati did not get the FIA GT crown.
