Default What's with all the dead birds?

http://www.cnn.com/2007/WORLD/siapcf....ap/index.html

You guys ever see the movie "The Core"? I know, it was horrible, but it explains why the birds are all dropping dead.. sorta.

What do you think? 60 something birds were found dead in Austin a few weeks back too. Just kind of odd is all.

The biblical holy land is involved in a struggle that rivals the crusades, there is a chunk of ice drifting in the north larger than manhattan, polar bears may not exist sooner than next james bond movie, new york city has had the warmest winter ever while the midwest is under 15 ft of snow in some places. My point is, at this point I wouldnt be overly surprised to see a winged lion with a serpent's tongue.

is there still a west nile problem from the mosquitos? it sure is early in the season for that to be happening though. When I lived in McKinney, people were asked to report any dead birds they find so they can track the west nile problem.

This actually happens more often than you think, it just doesn't usually make national news. The same thing happened in Baton Rouge a few years back and the problem was never solved. Groups of birds in a small area will all die off mysteriously in a short period of time and no one knows whey.

SO TRUE! I live in CT in a really woodsy area. Many many times, I'll look out our picture window and see hundreds of birds going from tree to tree. Then, I'll be driving down the road and I'll see half of them strewn out all over the place.

In fact, there was one year where I saw over 5 dead hawks within a mile on the same road.

Yes but wouldn’t you have to pick up the big ones by hand that way?

Ok, it's happened before. I never really heard of it. I guess it's the news making a big deal out of nothing again. Hopefully it's not the Bird Flu!!!!1!!!eleven!!

Oh yeah, the Core crack was a joke :P

Steel wool works great for all things, so long as you
buff out all the little scratches later
