Default got my serial number for GT500

I'm new to this forum but have been lurking for a while. Have a couple of mustangs 65 convertible and 67 Fastback. These I have had for years. Have some pictures at www.ont-home-health.on.ca/mustangs/dec18/home.htm and I might be able to help others with my past experience in restoring both. The 67 came from Texas in 88. It was essentally rust free. The convertible from New Orleans in 98. It required a rescue from death. I am not a mechanic but have learned a fair amount with my restorations!!! The site is dated as I have not updated in 2 -3 years. The 67 now has the Big Block in from last winter. It has not been dyno'd but I think about 500HP with all of the aluminum on the top end. It is vintage from bottom up crank 1au etc. Have the pictures just have not put to-gether.
The reason for the interest in this site is that I am moving to a newer era. On May 21, 2005 I put the down payment on the then to be built 2006-07 GT 500. It has been easier in Canada as the GT500's are only being sold through SVT dealers and I did not get into the rat race that from my reading you where exposed to. This past Friday I got my Serial Number. It is scheduled to be built on or about February 4th, 2007. I found that there are two new factory options which when I placed the order they were not available. They are a Shelby bra and a navigation system. I ordered both as it is late in the year and I expect few will have those two options. I am looking to see if there will be a 07 Shelby registery as there is for the vintage Shelby's thank you in advance for any assistance with any registery news.
thanx

I would be hard pressed to actually put the bra on the nose but I would definately get it for the collectibility factor. You'll have arguments on both sides of the coin concerning the bra (and I've actually got one on my 96) but unless you keep it insanely clean your chances of marring the finish will be pretty high.

Awesome job on your classics... and congrats on the new snake!

Dougp, I hate you.

Just wanted you to know that.

Well done! I'm very jealous. If you ever come to Tampa in it, be sure to let me know. I'd buy you lunch for a ride in it.
