I'm going to make my wife read every word of it, then watch Bill O'Reily tonight, we will then do it and immediately after, she will let me take a nap. I will then awake to the smell of dinner (steak of course) and have a nice cold beer setting on the night stand next to the bed.....................
.......when hell freezes over I think

Shoulda' titled it, "Road Kill I cooked up this week . .. "

Oh man, I hope this one doesn't get out of control.
However I do believe some of the things he wrote in there, especially about our kids. In 20 years we are going to have a bunch of 20-30 year olds that feel really good about themselves, but know nothing and have no clue how to take care of themselves without the government.
Ugggh!....
Keep it clean on this one guys.

Sorry to intrude on 'manspace' as a female here, but to be perfectly honest, I really agree with most of what the author wrote. Our modern civilization has often denied men the right to be men. As human beings, we are all entitled to be treated with dignity, not contempt! I draw the line at womanizing for my husband, but pretty much everything else is on the table. I'm proud of my car-guy, hunter, fixer-upper man of the house! This thread reminds me that I need to remind him of how much I appreciate that!
I didn't read it but I already pretty much know what he said by the title of his article and I agree with him. I, too, am fighting the good fight by refusing to bow to metrosexual tendencies. I wear a thick Carhartt work coat, I go weeks without shaving at times rather than a day or two for that "oh so popular" 5'oclock shadow look, and I refuse to shave the wooly mammoth-like fur coat on my chest. Men!!! Drink beer, stare at women, and return your ball sacks to their rightful place!!!

My girlfriend is convinced her sister's boyfriend is gay. (Not that there's anything wrong with that).
He always packs more clothes, and has more "products" than her sister. And he takes long camping trips with "the guys."

So anyway, now whenever she nags me about the quality of clothes I'm wearing, or my 5:00 shadow, or all the tools and parts on the garage floor, I just say "-well, I wouldn't want you to think I was gay!"

A bit on the vulgar side but a lot of truth in it none the less...major problem with the world today IS the fact that men arn't willing to be men anymore. The guy I have more respect for than any other is my Dad. I won't bore anyone with family history but I learned more about being a man just from watching him than any talking head doc or "expert" will ever begin to know. He stuck it out through some very tough times where most so called guys today would have quit and run. And he always had time for me and my kid brother. This generation isn't fit to carry the last generations Jock strap...how far we have fallen....

I agree, his choice of verbiage is not quite what I would have used, but he did have a lot of good points. And my wife would agree with most of what he wrote as well. I have a very good woman. And she lets me be the best man I can be. We believe that is how things are supposed to be.
Adults are adults. Kids are kids. Boys are boys. Girls are girls. Men are men. And women are women. That is just the way it is no matter how much some would like to change that.

I think we are already crossing threw the door on that one…….
Being a LE trainer I have lots of friends and one thing that pops up is at the Kansas City Police Academy, most of their recruits now adays have never been in a physical fight……..never……in the defensive tactics department they have scenario based training, before the teach them anything the put them in a room where a guy wearing a fist suit (protective suit allowing you to hammer the guy in the suit) the guy acts irate and the recruit is told to “control the situation” one guy in a recruit class looked around unsure of himself and just bear hugs the guy holding him in place…..lots of agencies around the country are facing the same thing, they are continuing having to train and retrain their recruit to be authoritative…..….
I don’t agree with every thing this guy says but I agree with over 90% of it………
