I've been visiting and posting on this forum since late September of last year. I guess I just don't say enough on here, because it took me until March of this year to become a made member. It's too bad I don't win a prize, because that rear seat delete is looking like a rather nice new mod
Since joining this forum, I've learned a considerable amount... and although I've been pressured by just about everyone to get rid of my car for various reasons (gas mileage, supposed unreliability, $255/mo insurance after a $1,000 deductible, and the fact that it's a Ford) I'm still driving it, and probably will continue to drive it until I can't any longer.

Congrats... maybe soon you will be doing more to your car and spending a bit more time here
I wish, I don't have the time, money or extra car to start pulling my motor apart. I think I'm going to pull out that rear seat, up the gears to 3.55 or 3.73, and throw a set of the 96 cobra wheels on it and be totally done unless some real money comes my way.
Contrary to popular belief, my 3.27-geared non PI without all the GT-trim stuff on it (fog lights, spoiler, power everything, etc) is probably a good mid 14 sec car. That's not that bad for a college kid that barely had five grand.

You'll just have to wait and see who doesn't show up around the boards anymore, haha.

I've got full coverage through progressive. I also have been rear ended twice on my last car, someone committed a hit and run on that same car, and I have a failure to yield against me.

It goes by region too. AZ could be higher for any number of reasons.

yeah, from what I hear, my favorite mall (Metrocenter, where they filmed the infamous mall scene in the movie Bill and Ted's excellent adventure) is supposed to be one of the areas for the highest car theft in the country. I assume that combined with the fact that we have an extremely high number of non-insured, illegal immigrant drivers... among other things, adds to my poor insurance rate.

I have 1 point left on my licence, just paid off a 680 dollar ticket for Wreckless driving, and failure to control my car (The back tires chirped taking a turn) along with various speeding tickets.

Congrats Dave. I remember when I finally made it to Made Memeber...then it was cool to be a senior member....then finally top dog. Many of the moderatiors became moderators before they hit Top Dog status, so it is indeed a worthy accomplishment. Again congrats my friend...now that you are a Made Member, you can try to catch up to stlwagon and WhiteAngel (yeah, as if any of us can).
