Default is this a good deal?

I am new to the forum. First off let me say i know nothing about mustangs. I just had my first car an 88 camaro totalled so those are what cars i am familar with. Ne ways i want to know if this is a good deal or not and i had some general questions.

I want to know if its a good deal for a 1995 mustang gt, auto trans 5.0, it does have 95,000 highway miles on it, clean in and out the owners dad is a mechanic made him change the oil every 3,000 miles. He just had the spark plugs and wires all replaced, totally stock. he wants 5,000 for it i think i can get it for 4,000$, what do you think sound like a good buy?

And how much horse power did the 1995 mustang gt 5.0's come with, i think 240? THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!

Hey Pardon. $5000 sounds good if its clean like you say... but personal experience mechanics dont like working on their own cars... so check it out good...
if you can get him to $4000, take it..
95 GT's came with 225 HP... restrictive heads and intake.

yes, 15's is about right, but the 5.0 has a ton of potential!

ALL motors have potential, It's just a matter of whether or not the aftermarket supports it.

The 95 in question sounds like a deal either too good to pass up, or too good to be true.

Check it carefully, and if it seems right... go for it!

I would get it, if it all checks out to be good running order.

The 5.0's have a ton of potential! If you get it you will have the best of both worlds. The look of the Sn95 and the power/Torque of the trusted 5.0!

I might be wrong on this but I thought the 5.0 that were not the HO were only rated at 205hp. And was 1988 the last year of the HOs?

Actually the 94-95 gt is rated at 215 but on a different scale then the 79-93. And HO is high out put meaning roller motor 85-95. forged pistons 85- 92 and hypers 93-up
