No doubt about it!

Maybe a little to the right of Tony Snow . . . But I'm not a Dem, I'm an Indy. I would have voted for McCain 2000 over Hillary2004, but McCain 2004 - He seems to have lost his mind.

Yep - I think the prospect of actually being the candidate (which is likely for the first time this year) has him rattled. He's got all sorts of new advice rolling in (along with some of those big bucks) that will homogenize his appearance.

He started out a bit fuzzy - and now he's going to end up looking like worn out TV sitting on a paint mixer.

But the political stuff would be a hook - you two would get more air time than the real Lush Rimbaugh if you picked a "topic of the day" each time - no lie. There'd be fan clubs cranking up within a week.

That would be hilarious.
We could put polls up here to see what our topic of the day should be. Drive a lot of traffic to the site.

And KS, Tony Snow is a better description than Limbaugh. hehe
I was going for that comedic element...

Oh we could have fun with this…….we would have to make sure no one wrecked the car during the debates!

Nyt_Muves you were #1 did they ever contact you or anything…..I feel kind of screwed over that one of ours didn’t make it in……………

Also with KS too…….I believe a good gas mileage v-6 would do well in a race like that.

The key is NAVIGATING. Most of the cars that don't break end up last because they got lost (repeatedly). Assuming they don't allow GPS (I haven't seen anyone using it), maps would be the key. Depending on signs is another mistake - the routes seem to often include key turns with deceptive or missing signage. It would be a good idea to count turns and intersections as a backup.

Partying all night and then sleeping during the trip (then missing turns) seems like a good way to get the boot.

I'm pretty sure you can't speed as well. I'm judging this on that time the F-150 team took video of those ricers and the lotus speeding.

They have not contacted me. I think his V6 would do well too as it would have great range. That has already played a part this season... Range can make A HUGE DIFFERENCE

I concour. That would not be a problem as I do not drink. But more than once I have heard people on the show crying that they feel awful and tired because they had too much to drink the night before...

We need to find out the rules because like what trip said, the first thing I would do if allowed is show up with a GPS system in the car.

Yeah, they can't even use cell phones. Total map work.

You want a trucker's atlas with mile counts rather than turns (new subdivisions, etc.)

That's what I built the car for -Long distance driving. I have to run all over the state of Nebraska & didn't want to have to do it at 3000RPM buzzing the whole way and getting blown off the road by semis & wind.

I made the run out to Chadron once in a Focus, & rode in a civic.

It was a headache.

Do they even allow outside maps? I keep seeing images of them all relying on the little maps the show hands out.

Mile counts is another good way to avoid missed turns - absolutely a good idea if they let it in the mix.

No phones? What are they using to talk to each other then - walkie talkies with 20 mile ranges? Of course, maybe they are closer together when they hold their gab fests...
