I got a ride home from school today from a friend. We were about to make a right on to my street when out of the cornor of my eye I noticed something strange, well more beautiful then strange. When I got home I took a walk and went to the location of the strange/beautiful object. There in an open garage was a 1969 Shelby Cobra GT500 Mustang. There was a man in the garage working on it. I asked him what year it was and we talked for about five minutes (my girlfriend kept calling me lol) and found out it is in near perfect condition and selling for $50,000. The car is leaving his garage tomorrow morning. I wish I could have talked to this guy before today.

Coming soon: Green Underglow Neon (or LED Lights) Cold Air Intake, Pipes coming right off the headers for an exhaust, and maybe a sound system too.
wow, sounds awesome.. I saw a mustang while I was away on holidays.. It was pretty, and I know where it lived. Its a later model, but not sure which year (it would have to be 02 or newer).
i came across one in the carolinas....body was primed but aside from that she was perfect... we met at a stoplight and did the mutual admiration thing....sounded wicked
This one's at the local classic car dealer right now. The other night I just had to stop and see it in person. Hope they don't mind the drool stains on the hood. I mean, it's not yellow (or Grabber Orange), but I think I could overlook that. Notice what engine it has.
('76 Eldorados are probably my favorite 'land yacht' ever. If I remember correctly, they had the widest wheelbase of any passenger car ever built - and I think this one's just a set of Longhorn steer horns from being a clone of Boss Hogg's ride.)

Wow, where is the car lot at JB? First thing I would do is pull the auto out and stick our 5 speed in it.

Oh, noooo!!! A stickshift would be cool, but I'd have to leave it alone. I'd probably even have to learn to deal with the a/m radio (I'd figure out a way to wire in my IPod in some completely hidden way - not like I'd be daily commuting in it, anyway.) The lot is right smack on HWY 11 in Lenoir City (if you head west out of Knoxville on Kingston Pike, it becomes HWY 11 - just take the left at the fork at Dixie Lee Junction.) Alternately, you can take HWY 321 out of Maryville. You'll cross the Loudon Dam and, shortly thereafter, come to an intersection at the bottom of the hill. Take a left onto 11 and Greene's is on the right.
If coming from Madisonville, take 411 to HWY 72. 72 intersects with HWY 11 in Loudon - just turn right onto 11 and head through Loudon, across the bridge, past the Justice Center and on into Lenoir City. Coming that direction, you'll drive through downtown Lenoir City and Greene's will be on your left just before you head out of town.
You can even go at night when they are closed and look around. Just don't touch (they have video surveillance.)

Now, now, I didn't say I would scrap the C6(I'm assuming it's a C6 because it's a big block), nope, I'd wrap it and keep it safe. Assuming this is a numbers matching car, it'd bring a good bit of money further down the road.
A 5 speed would just be sweet though.
P.S. YEEEEHAAWW, I just made "Made Member".

Heh, nearly 50 grand IS a good bit of money where I am concerned. Maybe not Barrett-Jackson green, but certainly not chump change.

You should see some of the cars I deal with on a daily basis here. Guarenteed to make your head spin.
JB... Do you know Bobby Alloway from Maryville? He just finished a 1 of a kind 67 stang that is drop dead gorguous(sp?). He built it for some local guy. It's silver and blue, almost Foose like but WAY nicer.
We also went to Gateway Classic Mustang in MO. and did an install on NIcholas Cages' personal Eleanor he bought after "Gone in 60 Seconds". A 250K car.
That's the best part of my job is seeing and occasionally driving some of these beauties.
Oh wow, that Vette convertible looks like a model I builtback when I was a kid. Same color combo, but I think I used a bit deeper blue. Oh, and I am such a Sucker for a Blue car with White interior... I am drooling over the Mach.... If I only had the spare money.
