[Nyt_Muves]

This past Monday I had the rare opportunity to run along with some of the most BEAUTIFUL cars in the world. I ran into the COPPERSTATE 1000, and got some great pictures. I also made a new friend. He owns a BEAUTIFUL 1968 FERRARI 330GT. He wanted to try the BULLITT out so we traded for a little while. Here are some pictures, including some of ME driving a FERRARI. Stuff of dreams!!

When it was all over he was REALLY suprised at how competent my MUSTANG really is, and had some really high praise. He especially liked the seats and brakes as well as the exhaust tone. He has owned mustangs in the past and was impressed at how well balanced the BULLITT package really makes the car feel.

considering that Ferrari costs more than most peoples houses and can not be replaced, I would have to say that is one memory that will never fade.

Nice pics, thanks...the upkeep on some of those cars must be crazy. Parts, or the lack of them, would be a real issue with cars like that Ferrari. I'm jealous that you got to drive them, wish I could run into some stuff like that. Either way must have been a great day for you.

Great memories you will have as I have had simmilar opportunities. I didn't realize it was the copper state 1000 when I was driving back to Vegas from Phoenix sunday. I saw just a few cars and one lonely 68 vette going on the rollback by Wickenburg. There was also a bike rally and was dodging them all day too.

by the by...did you ask them what was up with the numbers on the cars? were they on a cross country road race/trip? if so they had a great sky over head for that

Its kind of a rally, touring thing I think. WHen they sign up to go they get the number. They are provided with escort from the AZ DPS, and the numbers let them know who is who. The sponsor was a local LEXUS dealership and there were a lot of support vehicles provided by LEXUS.
