I'm getting a Dark Highland Green Bullitt and I just wanted to share with everyone. It has 55k miles and is stock except for the stereo. Someone put an Alpine cd player in it so I'm wondering if it had the optional changer. Does anyone know how I could find out? Also I'm thinking the stock 1/4 mile time is 13.9 at 101 mph. I know the best way to find out is do it but I just figued I'd ask. I'm paying $13k out the door which is about $12k before tax, title, license, so I think its a pretty good deal. I'm gonna try ro sell my 97 GT for $7500 and refinance the Bullit loan. I've been on the Bullitt archive site and checked most everything and it is a real Bullitt. The only thing that bothers me is the door tag doesn't list an interior trim code at all. It should say KW, the K for Bullitt, and W for charcoal leather. It has the number on the shock tower which is 0143 I believe. I'm not sure if I want to mod the heck out of it or leave it alone.

I'm thinking a good CAI, an off road X, shifter, and a tuner. Those are pretty easy to return to stock. I'm not sure if I want to do the gears or not. The place that did them in my 97 is closed and I'm not sure about tracking down a new place to work on my new baby.

Coming soon: Green Underglow Neon (or LED Lights) Cold Air Intake, Pipes coming right off the headers for an exhaust, and maybe a sound system too.
Congratulations!! Welcome to the BULLITT club! Mine is #04385 Dark Highland Green. About the same miles as yours. You will LOVE it. It is great! People who don't know cars assume it is a V6 a lot due to the lack of spoiler on the trunk. Others just think it is a stripped GT for the same reason. Then you start it up!! YEA BABY!!
Car people will stop you just to take a look at it. Mine was sitting next to a ferrari this weekend, and it looked GREAT. Check out the pic below in ZION National Park...
Anyhow, CONGRATULATIONS. Good choice!!

Haha, the dog almost seems to be saying, "hey that's my car!"
Are you building a new garage?

My brother use to own one & we had a blast with that car.... We use to take turns mashing on it.. I always wanted to line up with him on my 96 Cobra w/a few mods, but never got the chance to. One day he came home with brand new Explorer, I was pissed .. His wife convince him to trade it in .. I would've gave him that money, what a stupid a$$...
I would'nt mind running one with my ITR, see what this little rice can do. It should be a good one..
I building a new 24 X 24 to keep my toys in. And yes my doggy is watching my new ride. Gee Bullitt or new Explorer.... I'll stick with the Bullitt!
