I dont think they will quite. When you have a base model Vette walk all over a GT500 that has an extra 100 horses, in a Car and Driver comparo, you know Ford was insulted. If they need to make a 600 or 725 horsepower behemouth to take on a base Vette or challenge a Z06 then thats what Ford needs to do.

Finding a buyer willing to chunk down the money for one of these Mustangs might be more of a challenge because anyone smart enough with their money wont be dumb enough to squander it just for HP.
