Lately I've been having big time problems finding services I need for the 'stang in my area and when I can find them they arn't worth a dime...I was thinking that a forum could be started where local guys could post their businesses and customers could comment on their work both good and bad. Could be a big help to both businesses and customers. Don't know if it's doable or if AFM wanted to get into putting their "Seal of Approval" on businesses that would post but I thought it might be worth looking into...sure would be a help when I needed to find something.

As a business owner myself I belong to a couple of local Business Networking groups. The goal of these groups is to generate business for its membership. If a member doesn't perform, the person making the referral looks like a fool, so only the better performers stay in the group. You might try finding a local group and get a referral from them. Try doing a search under your city and BNI or Business Networking International. You could also try your local Chamber of Commerce or some thing like that. Hope that helps.

The president of our local car club was at one time my boss at work...asked him to refer folks on several occasions and all I'd get was a shrug...not much use. I will try the chamber of commerce but this isn't exactly a large community and for a lot of stuff you have to go a bit out of the area...not a problem but it can be a chore to track stuff down. I'm sure I'm not the only one who could use an easy way to contact businesses.
