Aw man, I coulda had one like it when I was 16, but I was such an irresponsible screwup, I couldn't scrounge $500 together, and my parents sure as heck weren't gonna buy it for me. It was a red '68 or '69 Torino GT fastback, with the black C stripes and a black interior, with bucket seats and a column shift! I had a 302, and had had an off road excursion, which messed up a leaf spring, and tore off the muffler and part of the fuel line. Man, I'd love to have it today.
Instead, my first car was a '77 Olds Vista Cruiser, light blue, with a hole in the floor, and a bad motor. I paid $50 for it in January of '86, during my second year of college, and kept it until it died a few months later. I sold it for $50, and kept the jack and the Clarion 8 track tape deck. Oh well, that's OK, because when I was a senior, (six years later...) I got an equally worn out '82 GT.
Yeah I realy miss mine. '68 was the first year for the Torino and it was still a fairly small car, before the Starsky and Hutch models of the early 70's. Last I heard it's sitting in a field somewhere rustin' away! Been tryin' to track it down but to no aveil.

My borther a Tracker, I raced him in my '95 Ranger Splash, pulling two jet skis, four 5 gallon gas cans, full, and all my ski gear, and still beat him by about four cars. It was a lot of fun though. we would take that Tracker out 4-wheelin' and have a blast! You could not get that thing stuck.

Mine was a 1972 Chevy Vega. Whatever could rust on that car, did.

OK, so I've added a few things to it. Check my Profile - too many to list here.
1975 Chevrolet Scottsdale 10 pickup... still have it, but the original 350/2bbl has been replaced by a 400 with a lot of goodies, the single glasspack system has been replaced by duals, the worn-out bench seat has been replaced by seats from a 1990 Dodge Dynasty (comfy, with trick slide-out cupholders in each armrest...) not a whole lot of the "first car" left in it I'm afraid...

My first car was a 1980 Z28 350 auto. My friend had a 1986 Mustang GT. He owned me at the red light. I could keep up with him on the highway. We drag races alot back then. He out ran a lot of cars in his fox body. Ah the good old days.
