Default Anyone running snow tires???

I just put a set of Blizzaks on the rear. I had 245/45ZR17's. Now I am running 245/45R17 snow tires.

Now the rear end feels mushy. Like it wants to break loose in corners. And I am not going into the corners hard. Just normal highway speeds.

Anyone else using snow tires now. Do you have any problems with them?

I'm running blizzaks on a set of steelies with hubcaps. Yeah, its ugly, but no way in hell I'm gonna tackle Illinois snow with Z rated tires. You'd have to be a moron to try that. Or broke.

They'll definately be softer and have less dry traction, thats normal. They're very soft compud too, so hard cornering/dry spins will wear them VERY fast, not that they last real long in the first place. Once the snow falls though you'll be VERY glad you have them. They made all the difference in the world in my Camaro last winter, along with 140#s of sand in the back.

Thanks. Just have to get used to them. I will have 140#'s of sand also when the snow starts. Been lucky so far.

Just got to remember that I can't corner like I did with the Z rated tires.
