Default 1991 Mustang Stolen Last Night

We haven't been around much today because unfortunately,we just had our 1991 Mustang stolen last night. We are both still in shock about it. I always check on our mustang before going to bed and last night was no exception. At around 1:30 I did my routine check and she was sitting there oh so pretty. Our neighbor who parks next to us works nights and got home at 3:00 he also noticed that the car was there then. So sometime after 3 and this morning someone came here and took her just like that.

The police don't seem to have much faith that we will get her back and he even said that if we do and it was taken on a joy ride she may not be in very good condition by now.

Its a real shame because our Mustang was in mint condition with only 52K original miles.

Well I guess thats all there is to say because I am even having trouble typing since my heart is still beating fast and I still can't believe this has happened.

Here is the link to our Mustang and who knows maybe someone from the Connecticut area may even see her and let us know so we can bring her home.

It was either someone taking it for a ride or someone has stripped it for parts. I can't stand thieves.

man i swear... people have issues nowadays. If they want what you have they try to steal it. If they're jealous of what you have they key it. If you love it they'll try to downsize it. People are absolutely ridiculous. My friends 1968 mustang coupe that he restored (he's my co-worker at Classic Mustang) was keyed in his school parking lot AFTER he just got a paintjob. People bug me I swear.

I'm sorry to hear about your guys' loss, I hope you find it soon, and I hope a severe punishment is in-store for the car thief(s).

Thanks so much guys, I knew everyone here could appreciate what we are going through. There doesn't seem like much hope in finding the mustang from what I gather through the police. Also they said they will only have it on their priority list for 2 weeks. I keep looking out at the parking spot in disbelief.

Well, your car is rare, and in such immaculate condition it's even more so. If it's out on the streets it should be easy to distinguish.

I thought about the chop-shop... I don't think someone would chop-shop a stock car- it's worth more in one piece because of its condition. I don't know if that can help put you to ease with that idea.

I really hope the police find it soon.

So sorry about that, I remember my brother had a car stolen and it showed up with just about everything stripped out of it. The insurance company got it back together again. I don't think I would want my car back knowing some scum was driving it.

Unfortunately we didn't and its the first time I remember not having theft coverage. The reason is because when we moved to Connecticut we had to get a letter from our previous Insurance Company because we were from out of state and the Insurance Company was nice enough to give us basic coverage until we got the letter. We got the letter faxed it to the Insurance and never changed our Insurance policy.
It gets me to thinking of a saying I recently heard, I think it goes something like "Never put off until tomorrow what you can do today" I guess that statement certainly applies to us right now.

I keep looking out the window and Scott keeps asking me why do I want to torture myself like that and its just so unbelievable and it almost seems like I am going to look out one of these times and she will be back. Its almost like I am in some sort of shock. It's really hard to explain but I know not ever having anything like this happen to us before it sure feels frustrating

Well, from that I can tell you really loved the car. I did that when my favorite pet died. For about three days, I looked in her usual nap-spots hoping she'd reappear.

Hopefully you'll get a call from the police saying they found your car.

sorry for your loss . They need to make a GPS system that is affordable enough to install in older cars . And a boot as well .
Wishing you all the best .

Yes we both loved that mustang. I always get this hidden fun attitude every time I drive the mustang. I don't know where it comes from but I always get it when I sit behind the wheel. Scott gets a real kick out of me saying that, but its true. I think its something to do with a standard in that it is more work but much more fun to drive.

Dawrr since you live in Connecticut please do keep your eyes and ears open because you never know where our baby is right now.

Gosh even when I type that it feels strange and its such an invasion of your property. I am starting to understand why people go over the hedge sometimes when you hear about things that people do when put in a situation. This is my first ever experience with someone stealing something belong to us , so I think thats why I am having so much trouble to absorb what happened.

Well I guess we will wait it out and see what happens in the next few days and with any luck they have ditched her somewhere and we will see her soon even if she do have a few cuts and bruises.

Hello. I'm so sorry to hear that. I can't imagine how I would feel if someone stole my car. Hopefully, the police will get it back. That is soooo sad.
