Gonna be doing it all in 1 shot... I didnt shop around really on these so i could find some better deals and save some money...
The grand total was:
$6,068.15
yikes.. but it will be one badass car after that...
Just thought Id share how much its gonna run to make a respectable Mustang.. Anybody have any quelms or praises about these parts ?
i feel that i dont want to fly-cut the pistons... thats why im going with sets all trickflow, all bassani... i want the biggest migrane to be the money im shelling out.
What if you found yourself a Canadian distributor you would save yourself 56%. Well not that much but a good chunck anyway. Have you tried www.dasilvaracing.com You all know Joe Silva!!
Water pump upgrade?
Radiator and/or electric fan upgrade?
Hoses and belts?
Tools or additional machining or tool rental?
Antifreeze, oil, filter, plugs, plug wires (when ya usually jack up the old ones on the remove)?
Alarm (if you don't have a good now so all that work isn't stolen)?
New battery or starter (if compression goes up with the new heads)?
I'm sure that you considered a bunch of this stuff and just spared us....but its nearly impossible.....unless you work in the car repair business to accurately predict the total price.
I've done heads and motors on several cars and I always ended up spending $800-2000 more just because you don't want something that is used and will go south on ya in two months staying on the car after all of the tear down and build up.

You're right Dan, some things I did leave out.. the coolant and oil.. but I did forget some things.. I was going to run a new sealed Harmonic Balancer and an Electric water pump... so at the track i can switch to a belt that will run on just the crank and alternator
But for those that have done heads and intake and exhaust seperately.. thats approx. what they have spent... not to make anyone have a retro-active Aneurysm tho...
Vortex as for the trick flow pars I just got the same set up for the engine I am building right now. I checked on the prices and several different suppliers and picked several out for my parts, then I called for my intake at JDs ($370 for the Trick flow street intake), well then the guy want to know where I’m getting my other parts and he beats their price by a few bucks to get my business, I can’t remember the shipping but my total for the intake, twisted wedge heads and stage one cam was $1555. Better hurry though because trick flow is raising their prices…………….
Try them out I would defiantly buy from them again…..

Hmmm. Thats $12,500 Aussie PLUS shipping and 20% import tax..... I guess I'll have to use local parts when it comes time for me to do my engine

i've been told 350 at the wheels. but 350 engine would be sweet too... and 1/4 times im sure is an easy 12. perhaps more. i can barely get traction now... i know i wont be able to then.
County- When is TF supposed to be raising their prices? and by how much?
I think they already did, I was originally going to get the high port heads I called for a price quote on a Monday and that Friday when I called the guy wants like $150 more, I was pissed so I didn’t order and when I ordered from Jds they also said that they were raising their prices, it may only be on the heads that they are raising their prices on……..
