Ok, last night I was over at my buddies house having a good ol' time. When I got there, there were a few people there that I didn't know. Well of course my buddy is also a mustang man so were always talking about cars. Well this guy that was there started talking about how his 98 Civic EX beat a new Mustang GT the other night. I was kinda like 'oh really?' So I started talking to him about his car. He said he's got this and that. I was just listening not adding any input.

Well I got tired of listening and I asked him if he want to go for a ride in my car. He was like 'what do yo have?' I pointed to the picture on the wall (I took a picture of my buddy in my car. He stuck it on his wall). He kinda swallowed and said sure. I take him out to my car, we hop in. I turned on my floor LEDs (they shine blue) He's like 'cool I got something like that!' I just keep quite, turn my radio off and take off (very easy). I have to let my car get all nice and oiled and warm up, so I take a nice couple mile route to the freeway. The whole time he's going on about how fast his car is blah blah blah.

Well I get to the freeway entrance, and hang the turn at about 50, this is a really sharp banked turn. He holds on really tight and shuts up. I hit the brakes on the straight away and come to a stop. I bring my rpm's to about 4000 then I slip the clutch hard, just breaking traction. I slam second, third, and fouth gear, chirping all gears (That was the first time i tried chirping fouth with the new clutch. I thought it was sweet myself). I take it up to 130 then slow down to freeway speed and drive normal. It's about midnight with no one on the freeway. But I really didn't feel like speeding much more. I take us back to my buddies house.

Well since he went for a ride in my car, I had to go for a ride in his car.... WONDERFUL!!! Anyways... I go for a ride in his car. To make this part short, that was the scariest ride I've ever been on!!! I guess if your cars not fast you gotta drive reckless right?

We get back to my buddies house again and this guy doesn't say anything in front of me. We split up, a few minutes later my buddy comes up to me and tells me that dude was jockin my car. He told him the only mods I have are intake and exhaust and dude kept calling BS. I just laughed. There's more to it, but your prolly tired of reading

Too bad he was talking smack on your car. Sounds like someone who is in denial, the wreckless driving was just a smoke screen to mask his fear of your V8 dominance. Maybe he will move to another state and buy a Mustang now, you never know...

The best is when you are just cruising along minding your own business and they pull up next to ya at about 35-40 miles an hour and then hammer it and you hear their exhaust and they start to pull away. Then I drop drop into second and break the tires loose and then powershift third and burn the tires right past them then slow down and they act like they don't know you.

I love it. It's even better when they have a turbo and you can hear it spooling up and you still do it.

I got the LED's from Kragen for 15 bucks... they just plug into your cigarette lighter and I ran all the wires so you can't see em except right in front of the shifter. I ran em through where your shifter boot and the traction control/defroster buttons/fog light button is at. It has a switch on the cigarette light. Oh ya I hid the LED's up underneath the dash. So it's not like you can see em unless you know what your looking for. Cause they are LED's, they're tiny. I'm trying to figure out how to hook it up where there is nothing at all seen. But the LED looks only like a singlle wire... I don't feel like messing em up on accident.

Ray he was basicly in denial and fibbing to ya because I doubt he ever
beat any mustang even a V6 or a V8 and your friend's friend you
said has a 98 honda civic ex we'll don't they had like 110 HP or
something like that because I know your domanite V8 is making 260HP
stock so,there is not doubt that he's not very truthfull.Exhaust mod's
and intake mod's don't really net that much actual torque.His exhaust
he would be lucky to achieve two or three HP from that plus replace
that very restrictive 1.8L intake on his civic and be lucky to receive
ten HP under full throttle from it so import's are nothing new to us!
LOL I sensed fear in eye's when your led foot came into play because
he shut up. The only real chance he would have with racing you is
if he actualy had "Turbo" than it would all depend on your driving skill
too defeat his rice machine! I had almost the same thing happen to me.
At Firebird Raceway I was taking to my friend about the race class and
how would I be against on the program and he was telling he I am up
against a twin turbo'ed Mazda RX7 and he's making 600 HP! I am alway's
up to challenge's so, in the line I see it one car length away from me
and it just made me. so, I took it out on him at the line with two
car length's at 45ft! I got excellent traction with a awesome lauch.I
clowned him fast in the middle of the 1/4 mile I heard that rice machine
roar "trying" to catch up but of course no luck and beat him by four
car length's at the end and I made him the "butt" of all joke's in the pits
my buddy told me after the race!The RX7 was built to run high 11's
low 12's in the turbo class I was running low 9's all night just like alway's
and I didn't even floor it so what does that tell ya?

Ray that's just to halurious though with an automatic that's even
worse he may have a small advantage off the line because he
has a four speed automatic becuase in the high end his car is
just to slow and would never catch up period! The only
chance he has on you is the line and that's just about it Ray!
If it was a five speed he would have a bigger chance to even "try" to
catch you......that 260 HP would pull very hard trust me Ray!

Ok we got to my buddies house and hopped in his car... 'Oh sorry it kinda smells like weed in here' he says. Anyways... He fires up his car then proceeds to free rev it to redline (7k) Then he asks 'Is that ok to get on it when you first fire it up?' I was like 'ummm not really' ... Anyways we take off and go on to the main road headed towards the freeway. He gets behind an explorer, then passes em in the middle lane (which is a suicide lane turn only) right in front of the police station.

At this point i'm thinkin that I will be spending the night in jail just cause I'm riding with this guy right?! When we finally make it to the freeway, he floors it and I'm just waiting for some sort of G's... Nothing... Anyways he makes it to about 110 and he's got it floored and it won't go any faster. This time when we get on the freeway and he's driving we have a lil bit of traffic, really light traffic, but traffic none the less. So were doing 110, he's still flooring it sayin 'it's pretty fast huh?' I'm just scared out of my wits going 'ya sure... you can slow down now' So he starts swerving through lanes cutting off everyone, in the mean time I'm just holding on for dear life.

Oh ya when we hit Vtec I thought you would at least feel a lil power increase... nothing ... My buddies stock 2000 Si throws you in the back of the seat when he hits Vtec. Not like a car with real power. But at least you feel it... I could only hear it kick in through his intake.

The ride back was just as bad... At one point there was no where to go, and a said 'alright!!! Theres no where to go all the lanes are blocked!!!! slow down' he still didn't slow down. I'm suprised he didn't try driving on the shoulder.

I'm just glad i'm still alive. Oh ya I finished the rest of the story for you 97orangeGT. You wanted to hear it right? And 96TT I know I can beat the hell outta his car... I'm totally not worried... I knew he was BSing from the begining.
