A friend of mine has been telling me about a car his brother-in-law has. This guy is a diesel mech, and more of a chevy guy, don't know anything about Mustangs. My brother-in-law and myself each have modded stangs, so this guy thinks I am the Holy Grail (I am kind of the local Ford Guru in our backwoods community)!
So he says this car was Kenny Brown's personal car in 94, a rolling testbed for all of his new products. Well, we've all heard stories of somone who knows somone who has a badass car, so I just let it go in one ear and out the other.
Then one day he show's up at my house with the car. Seems his bro-in-law did'nt want the car anymore, so he just gave it to him! This car is red, with 18" wheels, bear brakes, full cage, and a powerdyne with a 6lb pulley. Of course as far as he is concerned, this is the fastest car on the planet.
He works for public works in Telluride, Colorado (almost 9,000 ft). I went by to check it out in daylight, and he hands me the keys. He admits that he don't know how to drive it, but wanted me to drive it like its mine! He has seen me drive mine, so he knew what he was in for. This thing is an animal. I have another friend with a C5 Vette, and I don't think the vette would stand a chance.
Since I drove it last, he has put a new belt on the blower, and changed the pulley to a 9lb. The paperwork he got with the car says it should be 385 hp at the flywheel with this pulley (at sealevel).
Soon as I get some decent weather, he wants me to run it on my g-tec. There's also I guy who just bought 06 GT with automatic who wants to run. When we all get together, I'll try to get some pics and post them. This car has a KB serial # of 0001, So I'm gessing this is a pretty special car. Could be pretty valuable someday. He has a couple of magazines (Mustang Monthly, I think) that featured the car back in the day, and it still looks as good as it did then.
Anyone else ever heard of this or any other Kenny Brown turnkeys? I'm trying to find out anything I can about this for him.
