2015 Mustang GT Exhaust Sound (Video)

Video from Motor Authority:

Hear The 2015 Ford Mustang GT Start & Rev: Video

The revving comes toward the end of the video. Sound pretty good.

Current: 2015 Ford Focus SE

Little too tinny and raspy for me. I don't recall mine ever sounding like that so they must have changed the mufflers. My favorite car sound of all time, a 427 side oiler Cobra with those ever so sweet side pipes.

2012 GT Premium, Sterling Gray, 6MT, 3:73, Brembo Pkg, RR Sensing/Security Pkg, Comfort Pkg, Borla S.

Listen to it with headphones if you have a good pair, and set the EQ on your computer to flat.

Sounds much better.

I'm actually surprised Ford does not manufacture a mustang exhaust note that resemble the deep rumble & pulse heard on Borla S axle backs...I was completely taken back when I first heard the stock exhaust on my 2011 GT, talk about quiet!!!
They just did not sound like they belonged on a 5.0 coyote...

2011 GTCS Candy Red;Premium leather interior package, Remote start, security package, upgraded speakers, 6MT 3:55. 35% tint all around, Borla "S" axle backs, & clear corners.
The rest is all FORD

I retract the above statement:
" Loping along at idle like it has a nice, lumpy cam--though that's likely an intentional tune from Ford's engineers, a la the Boss 302's unique ECU tune--the 2015 Mustang GT opens up with a throaty roar when goosed."

That really sounds awesome, doubt anyone will be replacing that exhaust, it's spot on!

I'll still end up redoing it front to back. Not raucous enough for me.

There is no way that the the production exhaust. This is just a car to take around to show people what it looks like. This car doesn't have the production engine or exhaust in it. That's why you have seen the hood open yet.

I'm not so sure about that, it sure sounded like a coyote to my ears, and it sure to hell did not sound like a 4 banger either!
At this point in time, I doubt Ford would reengineer yet another exhaust, especially the positive reaction they must be getting from people that have heard it, just my opinion.

To me that didn't sound like chambered mufflers. To me that sounded like straight through exhaust.

Nah, that's a muffled Coyote with a tuned lope like the Boss track key sound.

Anyways, like a previous poster said, the best sounding engine was the early 427 Cobra and I'll add the '66 GT 350 and '70 Boss 302. I know, this is nostalgia moment for the older members here.

That's what I heard also on the revs. I'll try the head phones but idk. But I agree with another poster. I've read where this isn't the final production. Everything is not set in stone. It said the GT rear badging was thrown on there to fill in the space at the last min. But yea, it does sound like a straight through muffler.

Def sounds better than the stock exhaust on the 11-14 5.0.

Listen to it again on a good audio system.

I was using good headphones but I won't judge it from any sound system anyway, it's nothing like hearing it in person.
