when/do you plan to get the s550?

I like the new body, but I like mine better cuz it looks more muscly and cool to me.

I think I will try to keep mine for as long as i can until people start saying "hey, so you got the older body style? thats cool i guess..." (god just hearing them say that in my head makes me want to throw this laptop of the roof!)

when/do you plan to get teh s550?

I think I'll wait until they have any issues from the new platform sorted out and it's gone through its first styling refresh after having been on the market a few years (not that I don't like it, but just like with the SN-95 and S197 it stands to evolve over time).

I bet the incentives/discounts get better over time, too, on a car that I am sure will have a list price that's not insignificantly higher than the current model.

So, maybe I won't actually wait until mine dies, but I am going to hold out for a bit.

I likely won't be replacing my 2014 V6 anytime soon, though with this generation likely lasting 10 years there is a decent chance I will get one eventually.

Current: 2014 V6 Mustang Premium, Automatic Transmission, Oxford White, Safety & Security Package.

Previous: 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt LS, bone-stock except for automatic transmission.

I'm going to try and get a GT in 2017. Then sell my current V6 and use that money towards forced induction right away.

I voted ASAP, which hopefully means by the end of 2014. I have not had a Mustang DD since I sold my 99 Cobra vert in 2004, when my older son turned 16. (Seemed a bad combination back then.)

Now we are empty nest, and my wife is watching me drool over the new car and encouraging me to get one. Hope to make that work out soon.

Probably not for many, many, years....unless Ford comes out with a glass roof option for the new models. I'm six foot tall so the glass roof in my 14 GT/CS provides me with additional headroom and really brightens up the interior not making it feel so cramped. Also, I'm not so fond of the 15's interior....too busy looking for my tastes.

Now there's a keeper for sure! Most could care less about what car you are drooling over.

As for me, I will be keeping mine for quite a while unless I get the hots for a GT500. Don't really see me trading GT for GT though.

There's nothing wrong with driving a 2003 GT. I drove one for seven years. It's a fun car to drive. As far as getting filthy rich, that's definitely not the case. As you get more financially established, you are able to save a bit more money. The GT500s aren't anymore expensive than many of the larger SUVs that you see driving around, especially in New England.
