I suppose anything is possible. That would end up being an awful lot of engines options though. It's one thing to do it with the F-150 which sells around 900,000 pickups a year. 2015 Mustang sales were around 120,000.
The 2.7 Ecoboost would be an excellent option in the Mustang, with 325 hp and 375 ft.lbs torque, and better mpg than the 5.0! This would be a great motor for the Mustang, but it's not likely to ever happen. I would probably pick it over the 5.0 as it would have more than enough power and could get 30+mpg on the hwy. The 2.0 ecoboost just doesn't do it for me, but the 2.7 I think I could have gone for.:grin:
The F150 has it, the Edge has it, the Fusion is going to have it. I "hope" the Mustang will have the 2.7L EB in the near future.
