Default 1987 Mustang Redline?

Alright so I just sold my supra and bought my new toy, but I'm trying to figure out where abouts the redline should be, I have a shiftlight but it's not hooked up right now. If some people could give me a couple ballpark ranges that would be great. I know most of this doesnt matter, but I'll list everything it has just to give an idea.

e 303 cam
tfs alum. heads, Fully ported

Well the stock redline would be 5800, with those mods it's probably changed. Hard to tell, but with the factory 6250 rev limiter, you'd do well to keep it at 6000 at the max. Best way would be to take it to the track, and shift at various rpms and when you get the best ET, the shift points you were using is the optimum spot.

yeah thats what I was thinking but I didnt want to hurt anything by over-reving, my other thought was to have it dyno'd and just look and see if there is any clear spot where the power drops off.

The shift point is set at 6600, but I don't know if that is what the previous owner had used it at or if it was just there because someone messed with the knob.. There is no rev limiter at 6250 because it didnt stop there(i dont know where it will stop cuz i dont want to rev any higher). I mean does 6600 sound too high? I mean I don't want to mess up my motor or anything but I probably wont be going to the track till spring..
